NCAA Tourney games

Colorado St. led much of the game, but couldn't hold off Michigan St. Unlike Green Bay they didn't completely fold. Really impressed w/ Carlson, a smallish guard for CSU. She was fearless driving into the heart of the defense. Put up 26 points.

Barker out sick for the last game of her career. Talk about going out with a whimper. This is not going to help her draft stock.

I was wrong earlier today about Oregon, but I KNOW it's been a long time since Texas Tech has won a Tourney game.

My heart hurts for Talaysia watching her on the bench behind Caldwell. Come on back home, Coop!
She’s a baller. I haven’t watched a ton of Tennessee but seeing them against State both games I was very impressed with her. Should be on the court 30-35 minutes a game easily IMO. Wish State had her at the 3.

State won from tip to buzzer - but Khamil Pierre rolled an ankle and left the game, got taped and came back. Zoe left mid way in the 3rd on a non contact injury - appeared to be an Achilles maybe? She was in a lot of pain. I’m worried she may be done for the season :/

You got to be a special kind of stupid to have put money on Tennessee winning a game in this tournament

I am so proud of how NC State responded when Brooks left the game and Tennessee got within 2 points. Destiny Lunan grew up a lot tonight..and we're going to need her if Brooks is done for the year.

Yeah! But that’s women’s basketball. Usually only upsets are the 8 vs 9 game
We used to get a few. Seems like there's been a seismic shift recently, almost no upsets or mid majors advancing at all anymore.

Geee, what could explain it? Gobs of NIL, super conferences, and endless transfer portaling, perhaps?

30-9 burst in Q4 for the Gophers, 75-58 final.

Minny vs Ole Miss is an interesting match up.
10,000+ saw the Gophers win today. A really fun environment (and nearly 60 degree temp when leaving is a crazy March bonus in Minneapolis). Guessing/hoping 12,000+ is possible Sunday for Ole Miss. If Coach P can really get in going in Minneapolis, Minnesota may become another attendance juggernaut. It's been awhile, but before the Caitlin Clark era, Minnesota and Wisconsin were at/near the top of the Big Ten in terms of historical single-season attendance records.

Begs the question, was the result the law of unintended consequences, or was it planned out having a very good idea how it would go?
