This is really bad for the Big East. I don't know why people are celebrating this.
Because I stated for weeks now that St John's would not get past the 1st weekend
Team is long but not where it counts - in the head and the heart
5 guys with baggage who haven't played together can't turn out ok
And I can't stand Pitino and Arkansas is not good

SJU-Arkansas two lousy shooting teams trying to out-lousy each other. And two slimeball coaches trying to out-slime each other.

In the end, SJU won that battle and lost the game.

Embarrassing performance for the BE.

Pitino should stop at Electric Blue on his way back from Providence and buy the team some sympathy lap dances.
The Blue is now a juice bar with no talent. Not worth the trip or so I’m told.

This game didn't have anything to do with St. John's being physical in the Big East and not being able to deal with tournament refs. They lost because they played horrendously bad. They missed something like 20 layups and their two best guards looked like they wanted to be anywhere other than a basketball court today.

Pitino needs to buy some shooters in the Portal...D centric only gets you so far in Tourney.

I say it every year but I really hate what they've done with the Saturday/Sunday round of 32 schedule, it used to be the first game was a standalone and then spam the rest of the games. We shouldn't have to wait until the evening for multiple games being played.

Can anyone remember the last time a coach benched his star player at the end of a winnable game when the outcome was still in doubt? I can't.

That was interesting. I wonder what Pitino knows that we don't.

Looked a lot like Oklahoma last night. Played hard in a foul filled game. But if you can't score the ball, you can't score the ball.

I don't think there is a comparable team to Arkansas in the BE. Cal bought a lot of raw talent to Fayetteville with the poultry money.

Should have paid them on a game by game basis, I guess.
