Yup. That's why you have to have more than one way to win. Turns out being a bad foul shooting and 3 point shooting team will bite you when you play an athletically equal team and you get a ref crew that calls fouls. Used to happen to Jamie Dixon's Pitt team every year in the tourney.SJU got a bad matchup. All those long bodies tormented them. You could tell early on.
This is really bad for the Big East. I don't know why people are celebrating this.
We're not the only team that can't/won't get it inside to our big man.Not sure why SJU went away from Ejiofor. He put Arkansas's entire frontcourt in foul trouble within the first 10 minutes of the game.
that's the key, they're not used to playing teams that can match their athleticism and physicality.Yup. That's why you have to have more than one way to win. Pitino is an agitator. Shutting up an agitator deserves celebration. This is really bad for the Big East. I don't know why people are celebrating this.
Because I hate the Big East lolThis is really bad for the Big East. I don't know why people are celebrating this.
Johnnies were always fools gold. Relied on clutching g and grabbing on defense and shooting low percentage long-range 2's at a high cli
Team is long but not where it counts
I see, it was gastrointestinal distress, huh.“Best player” in BE goes 3 for 20 shooting? Something smells…
I ran into him once at a coffee shop around my old apartment. Truly the oddest celebrity I’ve ever seen in person. Seemed to spend the entire time he was in there attempting to get people to notice he was spike lee and give out autographs.Spike Lee will forget about SJU for the next 25 years again.
Didn't Calhoun bench Smitty in his last game against Ohio State in 1992 NCAAT? Not sure if the game was winnable though since UConn lost by 23.Can anyone remember the last time a coach benched his star player at the end of a winnable game when the outcome was still in doubt? I can't.
That was interesting. I wonder what Pitino knows that we don't.
Yep. Big East was not a very athletic conference this year.that's the key, they're not used to playing teams that can match their athleticism and physicality.
Talented dude though. I love some of his movies and his movies have a style and look to them that are totally unique.I ran into him once at a coffee shop around my old apartment. That rotten Pitino jab about Storrs is why it’s ok to root against him. He is a POS.Pitino is an agitator. Shutting up an agitator deserves celebration.
I’m a fan of good entertainment not Pitino. How he goes to the portal now will be entertaining. Us laughing at StJs cocky fans with a miracle win tomorrow will be AMAZING entertainment.@RuffRuff must be heartbroken.
We can't keep our bigs out of foul trouble playing one at a time. Now we are going to play them at the same time? Singare better be stretching his hammies.
Love what Dusty May has achieved at Michigan.Wolf and Goldin are a weapon. Wild to watch 2 7 footers that can move and pass like that.
No doubt. And don’t get me wrong, he was very nice, just truly bizarre.Talented dude though. I love some of his movies and his movies have a style and look to them that are totally unique.
And unplayableThis made last nights game against OU look like a Picasso. Red Storm totally choked but the refs made this unwatchable.
It might've taken Calipari to get your wish. I know people on here and in the basketball world wax poetic about how great Pitino is, and he is an all time great for sure whose coaching ability I respect a lot. But a lot of the same people on the Boneyard trash Calipari, and yes he has his short comings for sure, but Calipari is 9-2 against Pitino in their last 11 games.I usually root for the BE teams, but in this case I'm happy to see Pitino gone. I just wish they could've lost to someone better than Calipari. Both of them are slime balls.
True creativity - easy to appreciateLove what Dusty May has achieved at Michigan.
