St. John's is going to win by 20. Smith, Wilcher, and Richmond are all sitting on the bench with 2 fouls and SJU now has the lead. That's a yikes for Arkansas.
Yep, I see SJU gradually building a big lead. Cal teams have no discipline and will get progressively dumber as the game goes on.

You call three seconds in pickup games.

There are few posters on this board that I would rather see undercut someone at the rim in a pickup game just to see what happens next than you.

Our bigs wouldn't be in foul trouble all the time if we had better defenders at other positions. More Stewart, Ball, Mahaney and recently, bad knees Diarra = more fouls on whoever is under the basket.
But we don't have good defenders and you are talking about UConn playing 2 bigs at once this year. If the queen had balls she'd be the king. Arkansas has all 3 bigs in foul trouble before the half.

Pitino is a bad person there for every call against Arkansas is a bad call, Pitino paid off the refs.

Nah. Unlike teams in our conference Arkansas has the dudes to keep up. This is gonna be a close one

Good response by Arkansas they need this lead more then St John's does.

Luis pulling a McNeeley in this one. All the concerns of the StJ offense coming through here, set back shooting 30 years. Can StJ pull their patented 2nd half knockout punch?

Fland is a good looking freshman PG - wondering what are chances were there when recruiting against Nowell.

St. Johns looked terrible for most of the game. If they are lucky enough to win this game, they have no shot of winning another one.

The refs have to set a tone, clearly made no play on the ball. Just calling what I see and not sticking to a narrative. I know your rooting for Arkansas here I get it.
I'm not rooting for anyone here, could care less who wins in any non UConn game. As long as it's close I'm good

Awful take.

That's not exactly how sports work.

We do get paid for StJ getting further into the NCAA. Dropping out of this tournament early as a conference doesn't really help to future years perception of conference strength.

If Arkansas could finish at the rim even if they have go through a little bumping they would be up by 20 plus
Arkansas has a lot of UConn this season team in them

The Johnnies will win. We aren’t losing to Calipari.

OTOH, if Johnnies could finish at the rim, they'd have another 20 pts plus.

St John's kept it within 3 they have been in worse situations.

Granted they're not a great shooting team, but they're way better than 23.8%. Regression to the mean and they'll be fine.

That is pretty much how sports work. Game outcomes are correlated events, otherwise they would be completely random.

Which is a nice bonus if St John's wins, but I'm not exactly basing my rooting interests on UConn getting an extra $50K next year

So how did 2014 UConn beat MSU, Florida, and Kentucky after squeaking by St Joes.
Came to post the same. We were awful that game and thoroughly outplayed.

Here's come a crucial next 4 minutes here, best thing Calipari can do is stay out of the way.
