Committee members are not allowed to be in the room when their team is discussed. That puts my mind at ease! Geesh. I leave the room. I come back and my team has the best possible scenario awarded. Either they are deemed to be a tourney worthy team after all and the seeding, region, opponent is as good as can be expected. “OMG. That’s what was decided for the team I’m associated with? How lucky for me” I wonder who had a say in this? Now you leave the room and I’ll be discussing your team’s fate (Wink wink).![]()
North Carolina AD Bubba Cunningham under fire for controversial March Madness pick as contract incentives revealed
Fans and media alike are stunned by the inclusion of North Carolina in the field, especially with its ADnypost.com
Oh good! He’s back!
Marquette actually beat a 3, 2 4's, and a 9 OOC.OOC Marquette has beaten:
3 seed
4 seed
5 seed
We've beaten
8 seed
9 seed
11 seed
Are you talking about how someone couldn't understand how we could be seeded below Marquette and claimed our OOC wins were better, so then people listed Marquette's OOC wins to illustrate that wasn't true?I really want to know why any school's out of conference schedule for this season means anything at this point. It's not like we can convince the committee to reseed the tournament.
Marquette also did not lose to the likes of Colorado, Dayton and Seton Hall.We beat Marquette twice and finished ahead of them in the conference. Pretty easy to argue that one. They're a seven
If you were to dissect the resume of every tournament team they way you hate on "your" team, you'd find a lot of holes in a lot of resumes
Pragmatism > simpleton conclusions (which includes metrics)
Within the majors, I still think there is some competitive balance.100% with you on this take - I think the further the portal landscape evolves the more chalk we'll be seeing, less upsets. Talent is all being funneled to the top, so not sure how mid majors even have a chance going forward. This feels like a very, very chalky draw. It's hard for me to even see how anyone outside the top 2 seeds gets into the F4. It's going to happen, but there are not many compelling teams outside of the 2 line. ISU was a team, but they're down their best player and have looked bad the last month. I have a couple teams I've liked, but one is down a man.
I'm talking about someone wasting the amount of time and energy people are wasting on this. At this point what difference does it make? Are you talking about how someone couldn't understand how we could be seeded below Marquette and claimed our OOC wins were better, so then people listed Marquette's OOC wins to illustrate that wasn't true?
Apparently not. Some of the conference records are a joke. They also don't look at conference record.
We'll see if you're right after the next few weeks, but it may be the league got off to a great start, feasted on the ACC, building a great resume' and had the carryover effect keep them highly rated the whole year while they played each other. They won the regular season of the best conference of the last few decades and had 2 more Q1 wins than any other team.
Why are you talking down on them? They're good as hell.
"...good as hell," and "Raymond Patriarca ..Raymond Patriarca is smiling down.
It's answering a person's question. This is a message board. Everything everyone does here is a waste of time. I'm not sure how it's hard to grasp.I'm talking about someone wasting the amount of time and energy people are wasting on this. At this point what difference does it make?

Worked for a certain AG now SenatorTaking on the tough issues.
This is ridiculous. They can pout all they want, and have a right to be upset. But this is how they are going to spend tax dollars?![]()

Now the P2 are going to police themselves. Not an NCAA fan, but the stench is only to get worse. Wait until LSU knocks a second placer ACC or Big 12 team out of a future tourney so the Stink Eastern Conference can have 15 slots

At least you're not hiding it.
1-12 Quad 1 record. There’s your proof.Committee members are not allowed to be in the room when their team is discussed. That puts my mind at ease! Geesh. I leave the room. I come back and my team has the best possible scenario awarded. Either they are deemed to be a tourney worthy team after all and the seeding, region, opponent is as good as can be expected. “OMG. It’s easy to say UNC would have been out if Memphis lost. I would like to know that before Memphis plays. It’s easy to just say that afterwards. There was no way we had a different reason to get UNC in if Memphis lost. And there there are different angles to determine who should be in. Just pick the one that can explain why a team made it over another. It’s quad one wins this year but next year it’s who you scheduled and then how you strong you finished and another year it’s the NET ranking that is most important.
Yup, completely cynical about the committee. Too much is at stake to be fair. They’ll do as much as they can for the favored programs. Of course I don’t have proof but that’s human nature especially when the prestige and financial rewards can be so lucrative
Just to be correct, Marquette lost to Dayton as well.Marquette also did not lose to the likes of Colorado, Dayton and Seton Hall.
So, offering views on my team that oppose your views qualifies as "hate"? Methinks you have your head where it should not be.
I don't really care about WVU unless they lobby hard for UConn to get an invite. But the boys are restless
I missed that...thx for the correctionJust to be correct, Marquette lost to Dayton as well.
They still are until the continent shifts. The Atlantic Coast Conference has Stanford and California. When i went to High School in the early 70s those schools were on the Pacific coast.
I think you guys are under-seeded. Good luck.Creighton fan here. I like popping in here because there’s actually quite a few ball knowers for being a message board. I like seeing the Big East show out once we get to tourney time. I don’t think Florida is thrilled with a potential second round matchup and I don’t blame them. As a bystander I don’t understand why Solo Ball isn’t more assertive and a major focus of the offense. That dude terrifies me shooting the basketball. Also seems obvious Tarris Reed > Samson. Anyways GL.
