In a game with huge bubble implications, LSU has raced out to a 28-8 lead over Arkansas in mid-2Q.

Megan Gustafson has 19 of Iowa's 31 points midway through 2Q vs. Michigan State.
If I get a ballot, she is 1st team AA.

I'll be having it on the rocks. Square cubes. Better stuff I do drink neat. Not sure Wild Turkey requires such treatment.

This year has been terrible with all the knee injuries.
 
Arkansas is a fast-paced offense-oriented team. But they've only scored 10 points in the first half vs. LSU.

LSU, meanwhile, is scoring well above their average, leading 36-10 (!).

We had a lot of subs in and it looked like Walz was running plays for certain kids off the bench. One kid came in, he ran a play and she drained a 3. ( Duvall). Ran several more for her and she missed them all. A lot of that.
It wasn’t pretty. But, he was trying to give these kids some success in game time minutes.

Iowa up 67-54 over MSU at the end of Q3. Gustafson has 31 points/10 rebounds. She's been amazing this year.
 
At end of 3Q, Gustafson has 31 points and 10 rebounds. Ho hum just another day at the office for her.
 
Have to give a shout out to Brenda VanLengen, color analyst on the Iowa-MichSt game. She's such a pro.

Iowa is running away with this one. Tania Davis and Kathleen Doyle hit 3s to stretch the lead to 17.
 
Arizona @ Washington is a turnover festival. UA has 13 and UW has 11, 4 minutes til halftime. Like Keystone Cops out there. UGLY. They've been keeping McDonald somewhat under control, she has 9 now. Melgoza has 11 for the Dawgs. Rees has been playing well lately, she has 7. Rest of UW is stinking it up.

Melgoza sat much of Q1. I really don't understand what Coach Wynn is thinking with that.

I know there are awards for most improved player. Is there an opposite award? UW has a couple candidates. Hannah Johnson and Ma Loni Henson were both decent last year, and both have been terrible this year.

Missy Peterson got popped in the face again. She's been wearing a mask most of the season after having her nose broken. She's been down on the floor in pain for a couple minutes.
 
UW didn't score for almost 6 minutes going into halftime. Arizona on a long, slow 8-0 run to end the half. Teams have combined for 27 TOs. I'm not sure why I'm watching this junk. Glad I didn't pay money to watch it in person. Hardly anyone did, it's looking empty in Hec Ed tonight.
 
Arizona State has nosed ahead 35-28 early in 3Q. Kianna Ibis and Robbie Ryan with 13 points each.

It seems like ASU can stay close with almost anyone, but they also let almost anyone stay close with them.

Gustafson finished w/ 41 points and 14 rebounds. I'm w/ @Plebe . She absolutely should be a 1st Team AA.
 
ASU is gradually pulling away from WSU, up 15 in 4Q.

AZ-UW is about as tight as can be. This is a critical game for Arizona to stay in bubble contention.

3rd quarter was a little better. UA up 46-44. Melgoza and McDonald both have 15.

I don't understand the end of quarter/half thing. It used to be you made your move w/ about 10 seconds left. Now they wait til 6 or 7. Most of the time, that's just not enough time and they end up settling for a terrible shot. I don't get it.
 
Dammit. Peterson stayed in the locker room at halftime. T.T. Watkins is down on the floor after running into a pick. UW already stinks, they can't afford any more injuries. (I'm still perplexed about 4 players in the last 2 years having to retire due to injuries, that seems like an unbelievably high number)

McDonald is so fast. She can make an inbounds play after a bucket into a fast break.
 
Both teams have had a player knocked out of the game running full speed into a screen. Teammates have to call pick coming, I hate that.
 
Arizona should be pulling away but they are shooting horrible from the FT line again, just like the UCLA game. Up 55-51 3 minutes left.
