Steph hasn’t been good tonight. Can’t be good always but sloppy with the ball and not shooting great. Some big TOs down the stretch

9 TOs is pretty ugly, but he's gotta learn to be a lead guard and I like the team letting him play through mistakes. The championship window is in 2-3 years with Wemby. Invest in his co-star now

Hawkins feels invisible out there. He's gotta start impacting games

Sure, and I think a couple were not really on him but he had some bad passes. Also as we said, gotta hit your free throws too. But, got some points at the end and they got the dub. Just yucky to see 14 TOs in 2 games, especially because he’s usually so sure with the ball.

This is his first time since HS where it’s all him running the show. Here he had Newton and Diarra, last year it was CP3 and then Fox came in.

There’s going to be growing pains but it’s necessary.

GOAT conversations in sports are usually very complicated and nuanced

If Wemby stays healthy consistently for 13-15 more years, he will be the GOAT. 0 doubt about it

And the chances of a 7'7" player in the NBA doing that are roughly 0%

The chances of a 7’7” guy being able to do a split was roughly 1% too.

Wemby was built in a lab specifically to play this sport.

No I don’t disagree. I just am used to him being so secure with the ball that its odd watching the looseness.

Is it looseness or better defenders than he’s experienced before?
Also just more responsibility.

Solo averaged the fewest amount of turnovers per game on the team last year per 40. If we gave him the responsibility of running the offense and making more decisions that number would probably go up a lot.

That’s what’s happening with Steph but it’s just an adjustment period.

Wemby averaging nearly 35 points and 13 rebounds a game over the first 2 games. I think he can maintain that production the entire year. Ridiculous numbers.

After watching Cedric Coward we should all be thankful he opted to stay in the draft and not go to Duke, he's the goods

you know who doesn't "defend it?" The guys who are trying to guard him. That's why he shoots a lot of FTs, because no one can "defend it."
26 fts though? Come on, sure he's the best player in the league he goes to the line because he can't be stopped but 26 fts though is egregious IMO.

It's egregious because he hardly ever attacks the rim and play below the rim. Jordan once had 27 ft's in a game his second season in the league when he attacked the rim damn near every possession and was dunking on entire front lines routinely. The most Kobe ever went to the line was 23 times and he attacked the rim. SGA has mastered using his off arm and shoulder, creating fouls by not using a natural shooting motion, and initiating the contact while getting the call. It's all very Hardenesque.

I don't see where OKC finds minutes for Topic in their guard rotation with AJay Mitchell already being this good

They really going to milk a 90 minute MJ interview for the whole season lol

The funniest part is when people try to gaslight you into thinking it’s a legal move. “One big gather. A euro step, disregard the other three steps. Learn ball!”
