Castle will win DPOY soon... If only he learn how to shoot FTs

Wemby worked out with Hakeem and KG, now he plays like a real big and is dominating.

Steph is shining at PG.

Basketball is simple.

It's
Plays like a real big?

We've never seen a giant play anything like this.
Yes. He’s working the post and making the foundation of his game come from there now.

Compared to his first couple of seasons he was letting teams off the hook playing horse.

He’s now taking advantage of the fact he’s 7’4 AND has the skills he has. Hes going to be absolutely unstoppable now that he’s working from the mid range.

Underrated part about Castle playing PG. he gets to be a terror and use his size against smaller guards at the point of attack. Hes dominating on that side tonight with another steal

.-.
Stats and words would never do justice to what Wemby has done tonight. Castle has also been incredible.

I pray these two stay healthy because they're going to do special things together in this league.

The NBA has obviously never seen anything like Wemby but when you pair him with Caste it's just beyond unfair. A 6'6 220 lb. beast at point guard with a 7'5 alien at center and they're 20 and 21 years old.

They'll have an embarrassment of riches with Harper and Fox, really interested in how they will use all of them.

Wemby is arriving at the most "must see" thing in sports since Tiger exploded on the scene. Been watching basketball for 35 years and I have no idea what the hell I just watched tonight.

He's got to stay healthy though.

For a team that according to ESPN has a 7.1% chance of reaching the playoffs, the Spurs absolutely annihilated the Mavericks in their own building tonight.

Learning curve for Coop against NBA defense. Steph is strong and too quick for him, but Coop hit some nice shots later.

Wemby is insane. I and others have been calling for him to touch the paint more on offense and apparently he has learned. He is unstoppable once he gets there with his length, and gaining the strength he did in the offseason unlocks all facets of his game.

I said it with some friends watching earlier, he is a top 3 (maybe top 1) talent we have seen. He has no flaws and is the best defender in the league on top of it. Health is the only thing that can stop him from becoming a top-5 player of all time.

I can make another post about Steph. But the kid is wise beyond his years. Insane athleticism to go with incredible pace and beyod-his-years intuition. Surrounding him with shooters can lead to a 7-10 assists-per-game average consistently. His skip passes are unreal and his patience is mesmerizing. If he can become an ~35% shooter his ceiling is insanely high.

All in all, the Spurs might be the most fun team to watch this year, so many weapons, speed and displays of athleticism.

Thing I love is that Castle has so much room for growth. His FT shooting needs to get to 75-80%. That would have put him at 24-25 points this game. His 3PT shot looks better, but is still inconsistent. And oddly he fumbled the ball dribbling a bit in the second half for two(?) TOs I think. Two of those things are pretty fixable.

His passing is much better, he is also getting calls.

GOAT conversations in sports are usually very complicated and nuanced

If Wemby stays healthy consistently for 13-15 more years, he will be the GOAT. 0 doubt about it

A year in college, picked up a championship and a bunch of individual honors.

Drafted into a strong organization and now gets to play along side a generational talent.

Steph is living a blessed life, and it is well-earned.

This was the write up on Steph….
While Victor Wembanyama received most of the attention in the aftermath of San Antonio’s 125-92 victory, and with good reason, Castle’s night was encouraging. Starting at point guard for the injured De’Aaron Fox, the second-year guard shot the ball well from the field and was a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. However, there were negatives, as Castle shot 5-of-10 from the foul line and committed five turnovers. Those two categories will determine if Castle can outperform his Yahoo! ADP of 115 this season. The Spurs’ guard had an excellent night overall, but there is room for improvement.

This is both hilarious and accurate. Steph had an incredible night. Yet, we all can see him improving still. 20 years old went for 22 7 and 6 and still can do so much more. Even better, Steph has the character and work ethic to do it. Can’t wait to see him reach his potential. Count me officially on the Spurs bandwagon!!!!

#1 ranked in Zach Lowe’s league pass rankings, they are indeed the most fun watch.

Castle is so good. He’s so smart and strong and is going to be an All-Star.

I love VJ Edgecombe and I love Luka. I also LOVE #7, it’s my favorite number.

I HATE 77. Please stop the madness.
