I think there is probably greater understanding of the program and system for those girls who wish to transfer in to Connecticut.
As a high school recruit, you hear the expectations, and work ethic of the program at the school being considered, but you only vaguely have an idea how much work and learning is involved.
Natalie should have a better idea than a fresh recruit out of high school what will be expected and what to concentrate on to improve.
She has been called a hard worker, and that will be a plus coming into this program.
I also think it is an advantage having a full year to understand her role, where she should be on the court, and what she should do.
This also gives her a great opportunity to strengthen her defense, because in practice, there is a good chance she will be facing some of the best players in the country.
It will be exciting to hear about her progress, and to see how she grows as a player and a team mate.
One thing is for sure. With this group of girls, and the family atmosphere they display, she is going to have a lot of fun!
