So honestly tho, its going to be one of these companies/brands, right??

-United Technologies (or a subsiderary)
-Traveler's
-Webster Bank
-Dunkin' Donuts (gives a whole new meaning to "The Dunk")
-CBS (Connecticut Business Systems)
-Bob's Discount Furniture
-Frontier Communications
-Easy Seat (that'd be interesting!)
-Mohegan Sun
-New York Life
-State Farm
-JetBlue
-Geico
-Stop & Shop

Stop & Shop Stadium at Rentschler Field would be kinda nice... Call it "The big paper bag"? Since that's what we'll all be wearing on our heads if we have a couple of more season like these last four anyway!

you left out ...

-The Electric Blue

I'm going with The Hartford Stadium... The Hartford Financial Services Group have the most assets out of any insurance group in CT.. and.. it kinda makes sense considering the location... it sounds a bit boring but it makes sense.

Geez...wonder why we may need more parking?
How many acres are devoted to parking now? I found one website that said UTC originally donated 75 for the stadium itself plus 100 for parking. Not sure how much of that is available or being used on game days. So, 10 more acres + access to 15 more may or may not be a B1G deal, if you know what I mean.

Maybe there's a another B1G announcement coming soon? Where's conspiracy kitty?!

Don't know. She left early and said something about that she had to be somewhere by 3:30 today.

Do we really have to get into deep logistics here?

Only from the standpoint that this was a State deal and those certain folks expecting a direct financial windfall to the university will be disappointed.

Additional parking... well it could be they're going to develop some of the land currently used for parking maybe around Cabela's, which would be nice, or put it there for stadium expansion, which would also be nice, or both, which would be awesome....

"As part of the stadium agreement, UTC will donate 10 acres of land to the State of Connecticut for additional stadium parking. UTC also will provide an easement for the use of an additional 15 acres adjacent to existing stadium parking, further expanding the parking available to UConn fans. In return, UTC's stadium naming rights will be extended through 2030. Since its opening, the stadium has been known simply as Rentschler Field. - See more at: http://www.noodls.com/view/01FB1823...6A3F73?4714xxx1437001964#sthash.mextBnlB.dpuf"

25 additional acres for parking. Does anyone know how many cars that can fit and how many acres the Rent currently has? Gotta think that this is a long-term move to secure additional parking spots for a potential stadium expansion.

Gotta love it...the ONLY reason that stadium is there is because of UCONN football....the state taxpayers paid for it...AND now the CRDA runs it...charges the State a rental fee per game...and can't even get things right to manage it.

They subcontract to Global Spectrum. I don't think the hate for CRDA is warranted, they've been a great asset for the entire region.

How the hell do we need an additional 25 acres of parking?! The parking lots are rarely full as it is... ? Unless it's for further economic development.

Reading between the lines, the extra space for parking has nothing to do with current attendance. It has to do with expectations that attendance will surge in the coming years (read: stadium expansion because of new conference???).

Stadium expansion 200%. 40,000 to 55,000 sounds good to me.

Ask and you shall receive. How many spots? It depends, but somewhere between 135-165 per acre.

Have you guys seen the renderings that Pratt put out at this shin-dig? This looks like such a mess. For starters, that old P&W logo doesn't fit at all with the stadium, and they're keeping the old Rent logo. Pratt should have hired a legit design firm to do the design work right. This "Stadium" logo is garbage IMO.

Selling naming rights after the worst attended season in the stadium's history seems...questionable.

So will we get 20K ST? Maybe we can grow corn on the extra 25 acres.
