A large percentage Boneyarders are fans of all UConn sports to some degree. Even though many may not care about women's hoops, they like to see the State U succeed whenever it competes.

I'm certainly not going to sit here and defend what DeMauro says, I don't particularly read most of his stuff, but the Day is the biggest paper in the thriving mecca know as New London County, and he has managed to hold his opinion column for a long time; that should count for something, no?
