Now that is funny! At least Muffet is acknowledging it, so we know it won't happen again. Good enough for me.

The lifetime record is UConn 1-ND 0.UConn football needs to defeat Marist or their equal before pretending to take on the big dudes and actually be a DI football program.
Here's Arike's tweet:

My favorite UConn football game. My second favorite is from the same season, when they beat So Carolina in the Papa John's Bowl.UConn football needs to defeat Marist or their equal before pretending to take on the big dudes and actually be a DI football program.
I didn't see it, but someone here said she kicked a girl in the head in that game after a scrum for a loose ball.did Arike pull the same stunts with Oregon State earlier this season as well?
Since Kareem Hunt’s televised apology a couple days ago, which included the usual, “That’s not who I am” nonsense, two additional videos have surfaced showing his violence with two other women.I just saw a so called football player, who shall - NOT - remain nameless, apologize for kicking his girlfriend after he threw her to the ground. He really looked and sounded oh so sorry. Words mean nothing, future behavior means everything.
Unsportsmanlike foul for elbowing Thropay in the face. You can read through this thread for more on that:did Arike pull the same stunts with Oregon State earlier this season as well?

Then that isn't who he is. Clearly he's worse than anyone thought.Since Kareem Hunt’s televised apology a couple days ago, which included the usual, “That’s not who I am” nonsense, two additional videos have surfaced showing his violence with two other women.
I laud your magnanimous interpretation, but if Muffet were genuinely contrite on the principle of it, she wouldn't have taken two full days to apologize. Immediately after the game she lamented (but didn't apologize for) her team's loss of poise because she rightly saw that it killed their chances of winning the game.I guess I am not as skeptical as some of my brethren on here. I laud Muffet for acknowledging her team she poise in the postgame interview and for posting her tweet. I do think she cares about her teams reputation as a beacon of ND Women’s Athletics which is what she helped create.
Really? What about an apology to UConn's Coach, UConn's players and all the fans (not just Notre Dame's fans)? Muffet dislikes UConn that much? I said it before, and I will say it again, the NCAA needs to step in and suspend Arike for some games. Muffet McGraw teams have always played dirty, so I really do not see that changing.

Lou talked about the ND fans who were harassing her during the post-game interview, you could tell she was very uncomfortable with it.

The good thing for Lou is she'll NEVER have to play in South Bend ever again.
Words of apology, especially those written, are easy to present. In my youth they'd say: The proof is in the pudding: meaning Actions are better than words; prove it.I just saw a so called football player, who shall remain nameless, apologize for kicking his girlfriend after he threw her to the ground. He really looked and sounded oh so sorry. Words mean nothing, future behavior means everything.
No way! WAY too much fun to see them lose it when we kick their asses. Pouty faces, insincere apologies, abject humiliation - Priceless!!Well..maybe it's time to end the series with ND if their leader, Miss Muffet can't do any better than this, by not issuing an apology to Geno, his players and staff, nor holding her players accountable and allow them to totally disrespect the UConn players, coaches and fans, and not issue an apology to THEM.The good thing for Lou is she'll NEVER have to play in South Bend ever again.

This game got to be chippy at times as demonstrated by an Ogunbowale elbow that was jabbed into the throat of Janessa Thropay. She was eventually charged for unsportsmanlike conduct after the referees reviewed the tape when play came to a stop on a Thropay blocking foul against Ogunbowale. How it was justified she could stay in the game was beyond me.did Arike pull the same stunts with Oregon State earlier this season as well?
The Lou remark was within the postgame show on the radio net. It would seem that some ND “fans” were flipping her off. Her term was “inappropriate gestures” as I recall it.
Isn't ND a parochial institution? Haven't they prided themselves for decades as being one the top academic and sports programs in the country? And THIS is how they treat their guests, an opposing head coach, the players and the small contingent of UConn fans in attendance? Really?
And all of this in front of a national TV audience? Then refuse to acknowledge UConn in any apology?!?....really?UConn Nation already had no love for the Irish, now this. I think the only program UConn may dislike more than ND is Tennessee.
