94-32. I think in the second half Geno will have them working on their half court sets not full court speed. He will use it like a scrimmage to get things right.

The schools in the AE are excellent academically and those players are all true student athletes. UMass Lowell is fairly new to Div 1 and still building. You’re forgetting the very first. In 1998, the Harvard women the 16th seed upset Stanford the #1, 71-67 on their home floor in the first round of the NCAA.
 
First game jitters, rust, and a new team learning to play together will lead to some ugly play. UConn still wins very easily

Yeah, Stanford had at least one player (probably more) injured and either out or limited. They likely were over-seeded based on the available roster.

Additionally, Harvard had a ringer and was mis-seeded. Allison Feaster was a really good player.

Bottom line: Technically, it was 1 v. 16, but in reality, was more like 2 v. 13.
 
Ok, regarding the UMass-Lowell game, Geno will try not to embarrass Shea's husband, but it should be extremely one-sided. Maybe 100-30.

I see the starters playing maybe 18-25 minutes and everyone healthy getting in the game. We should get some view of Piath and Autumn. I'm predicting that Mir hits double-figure points.

YES!!!! Thanks for bringing that up. It seems to always get lost when that upset is mentioned and yes Harvard had a star in Allison Feaster.
However Stanford’s front court was hit hard as Vanessa Nygaard a 6-1 F who averaged around 15 ppg tore an ACL. The day the bracket was announced Kristen Folkl a 6-2 F who averaged 18 ppg tore her ACL in practice just hours after getting the number 1 seed. With those 2 out Stanford didn’t have the horses to hold that seed.
 
Huskies 94-47 Geno says after game our offense is a work in progress and our collective defense couldn't guard 5 chairs....

They have no idea how welcome back they are!

Forgive the pedantry, but the word "lady" has never been part of the team name. There are Lady Vols and Lady Bears but NEVER have there been Lady Huskies at UConn. I could see using the term lady (small l) Huskies as a kind of archaic differentiation from the men's team, but here on the women's board it seems unnecessary. Ok, my pet peeve itch is scratched. Enjoy the games and the beautiful Maine winter.

The 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11th player on the bench will not come out of the game in the second half, and will not be able to slow themselves down [we always go this speed: "ALL Ahead Flank!"].

Same score as my submarine crew versus the French Subase ALL-STARS: UCONN (like us) 109 to UMASS-Lowell (like France) 16..... Thanks for the prompt, MSGRET!

My Prediction - the guy standing in front of the locker room door before the game is carried away in an ambulance. 60 point first half - 45 point second half Autumn starts her college career with 8 points and 3 assists. 105-30 final
