I have all of Fred Astaire's, all of Errol Flynn's, all of Elvis Presley's all of Tyrone Power's,All 96 Episodes of Remington Steele, from TV. I also have over 200 Uconn women's BB games on tape. And so many more. Above in my last post I meant to say "what I'm watching" GO HUSKIES!!!

I watch very few movies more than once (other than my Christmas favorites) - just not enough time. Feel the same about books. Why read the same one twice when there are so many good ones yet to be read. But if I were to pick a couple of movies to watch again, Field of Dreams and Brokeback Mountain would be high on the list. Monty Python and the Holy Grail too.

Casa Blanca, The African Queen, Maltese Falcon, just about anything with Bogart.
Anything with W. C. Fields.
The Quiet Man on St. Patrick's Day.
Pride and Prejudice - I know the 1995 version is considered the definitive one, but I prefer the 1979 version.
A Christmas Carol - Several good versions, my favorite has Alastair Sim as Scrooge.
The Philadelphia Story and the musical version, High Society.

Nice list, I forgot about “The Quiet Man” and “It’s a Gift”, maybe W. C. Fields best, trying to sleep on his porch on a hot night is classic. “I Hate Youuuuu”.

Charade is an under appreciated movie. Audrey Hepburn is charming in it as is Cary Grant. It has light comedy to go with a thriller that has a series of twists and turns. I highly recommend it.

Thank you! I've just watched it a few more times, while tuning up my home theater system. The chase scene with the running of the bulls is just incredible.

The Alastair Sim version of Scrooge is one of my favorite Christmas movies, I've seen it many times.

Philadelphia Story is another one I watch any time it shows up television. Cary Grant and James Stewart are two of my favorite actors. Throw in Humphrey Bogart, and you got probably my three favorite actors.

As long as I'm mentioning favorite actors, I'll mention my three favorite directors. In no particular order, Alfred Hitchcock, Howard Hawks, and John Ford.

Do you watch copies? You need to store your gold copies in protected and controlled space. Tape doesn’t last forever.

if you like movies you can quote, then you've gotta see casablanca and add it to your (primo) list. lots of great lines ... though it can't complete with shakespeare.

i've indeed watched the movie multiple times, and might put it on again tonight (thanks to dvd).

but this thread mentions many, many great movies i'd watch again -- and quite a few whose mention here i find puzzling (but people often amaze me and everyone is entitled to enjoy strange things).

not mentioned yet are two films i've turned to many times and BYers might give them a look if you run across them. they are a bit obscure: Local Hero with burt lancaster (he's not the star because the locale/atmosphere and magical nature of the story are what draws me to the movie) and Cyrano de Bergerac with gerard depardieu (the classic story -- in french, with subtitles -- that's wonderfully done).

Never saw “Cars” but did see “Used Cars” which is hilariously funny.

Wow, that's a good eclectic list that spans decades. I haven't thought about Father Goose in years. It's a funny movie.
