Caroline
Because Caroline is my favorite Huskie (ever since Katie Lou graduated).Gee why not say Paterson? She’s improved infinitely.
Ziebell looks a lot more than just a spot up shooter and someone not trying to make a mistake on defense. She looks comfortable. She looks like she could turn into an offensive weapon and I like her activity on defense and on the boards.
I was also impress with Jana last night. I thought Serah got pushed around or shied away from contact too often. She missed a bunch of close range shots, but Jana looked good on the boards and ripped down a few tough rebounds. If she learns to finish better, she will be a big positive.
I love Caroline as well, but even when she took the inadvertent shot to the jaw, I hold my breath. I also loved that when Haeckel took a shot to the face, Ducharme was the first there to check on her like "Yah, I've been there."
It's a process. She is a lot more aggressive this year on both ends. Great to see. She is also the best teammate in America!Jana needs to finish with the left hand. She left 4-6 points on the floor, otherwise she was 100% solid.
I think Sarah isn't mention because with the others, they were big question marks coming in.Interesting that no one has mentioned Strong. I think I could make a case for her as #2.
Her ability to lead the break and then score or pass. I don’t recall seeing that before. She also seems a bit more confident and assertive.
I want to attribute that change in the game to Magic Johnson. Outlet pass not needed and your best open-court performer already has the ball and generally their defender is already chasing them.Interesting that no one has mentioned Strong. I think I could make a case for her as #2.

Will UConn fans give her a break if she doesn’t score 20 every game now that Geno is trying to get her to integrate new skills?Interesting that no one has mentioned Strong. I think I could make a case for her as #2.

I get that thinking, except I'm not sure it's a small improvement. It's just not really noticeable yet against the caliber of competition so far.I think Sarah isn't mention because with the others, they were big question marks coming in.
Many 'experts' picked Strong before the season started to by the NPOY. She is so young and can absolutely improve, but she is also already so good that any improvement is like an extra shot of whip cream on the great hot fudge sundae.
