She won't be declared the best player in the country, but she is pretty damned good. UCONN is fortunate to have her commitment.
Here's a link.Does someone have the link to th top 10 semi-finalists ?

Pretty spread out commitments. Here's a link.
Maybe not be she will have a huge bump in her overall class ranking. She won't be declared the best player in the country, but she is pretty damned good. UCONN is fortunate to have her commitment.
Great for Morgan, particularly since three were juniors, meaning she was considered in the top 7 seniors. On the other hand no Allie which is somewhat disappointing. That's fantastic for Morgan, it's quite a list of players.
My thoughts exactly. Morgan is the "FLOOR GENERAL".Best player on the best team in the country with UConn written all over her.
It is easy to agree with that list of the TOP 10!
Maybe it's time for ESPN to revisit their rankings for this class. Doesn't this list suggest Morgan should be at least top 7, if not higher? Instead of #18, I'd probably slot her in at #5 just ahead of Koval and Smith. But what do I know?
Because they make great subs. Why would this Jersey Mike's rating be viewed as more authoritative than the ESPN evaluators?
It'll be interesting to see how she compares to Saylor Poffenbarger and Caroline DuCharme. In any event, I'm extremely bullish on her future.Ever since I first saw one of her highlight reels a few months ago I've been sold on her floor abilities and overall game.
She's 6'2"- maybe she could play some down low? Esp. if we don't land Ms. Strong...?

I don't think putting her in the post makes much sense. Her handles are too good, and she's quite a bit quicker and higher energy than Caroline. Saylor has decent handles, but she's not really comparable to Morgan in this area. She has legit point guard skills. A better comparison is a slightly taller Haley Jones with quicker feet and better handles. Or maybe a taller Ashley Owusu. Having a big PG barreling down the floor can be quite intimidating, especially on the break.Ever since I first saw one of her highlight reels a few months ago I've been sold on her floor abilities and overall game.

What difference does it make where she is ranked ?Why would this Jersey Mike's rating be viewed as more authoritative than the ESPN evaluators?
With KK, Ashlynn, Azzi, Allie, and probably Paige on next year's team, I don't think Morgan will play in the back court (unless there is a lot of foul trouble). More likely she will be a 3 or a 4, depending on how players like Ayanna and Ice develop (and on what decision a certain beefy player who shall not be named eventually makes). And if Caroline is able to play and be effective next year (of which I am dubious), that adds some additional complexity to the starting front court decision.I don't think putting her in the post makes much sense. Geno could actually play her at point and it wouldn't be a downgrade from KK or Paige. Tara tried this with Jones and it was disappointing. With Morgan, it wouldn't be.
She'd also make a great wing who can crash the boards. But I also think of her playing D at the top of the key and it would be like having Aubrey up there causing problems for smaller PGs. I suspect it will be hard to keep Morgan and Allie on the bench.
I think Morgan will end up being used like Evina was, playing 1-3 and occasionally the 4 if necessary. But the 4 will not be her normal role. Think of her as a bigger Evina who also occasionally played the 4 but whose natural position was as a guard. If anyone thinks Caroline belongs in the backcourt as a wing or an sg, Morgan with her greater quickness most assuredly does. We’ll be able to switch 1-5 on defense with her in the lineup. With KK, Ashlynn, Azzi, Allie, and probably Paige on next year's team, I don't think Morgan will play in the back court (unless there is a lot of foul trouble). I think that Morgan will adapt to college game quicker than Allie.I don't think putting her in the post makes much sense. When Geno discussed the two recruits whenI think that Morgan will adapt to college game quicker than Allie.
I agree with your last comment, BUT looking at the players who fit into the 1-3 positions, the minutes are going to be tough, although these two recruits are too good to just get last 5 minutes of a game time.. Assuming all return, the list in no particular order . Paige, Azzi, (hopefully) Nika, Caroline, KK, Ash, Q and Ines. Add in Morgan and Allie and you have the possibility of a massive logjam but unbelievable competition for the 120 minutes at those 3 positions.I don't think putting her in the post makes much sense.
