Sigh. She's still a junior in high school. Not a criticism, just an observation, I hope she develops her Left hand (for layups and back to the basket play) before she get here. She's got Talent for sure, using both hands makes her less predictable.
You mean like the first and last plays of this video plus two others at 1:09 and at 1:43?? Her left hand for everything is just fine. Not a criticism, just an observation, I hope she develops her Left hand (for layups and back to the basket play) before she get here. Hopefully not a duplicate. Geno was almost choking the other night to keep from spilling the bean, settling for "when you see who's coming...."
Does her commitment mean that UConn won't be pursuing Joste? What makes the future Husky one of the most sought-after high school players in the country? Just about everything. At 6-2 with standout athleticism, a complete array of point guard skills, and the ability to play alongside other lead guards as well, there isn't a box Cheli doesn't check.
Cheli is a particularly versatile offensive focal point who's rapidly improving as a go-to scorer, and one that very few guards – or frontcourt players – can matchup with. And one could argue that she's the best defensive player in the state, a monster in the passing lanes who can bring the clamps any position at the high school level and projects to be a defensive stopper at future levels guarding one through three.

Hell, she may well be the best player in her age group in the US too. She's only 17. I can't imagine a kid this young playing with this much skill, poise, and court vision against high level pros in playoff competition. Those games are fast and physical and she's able to play at her own pace and not force anything or appear out of her comfort zone. She's a rare talent that sees the whole floor and man can she shoot it.No one is sure which class Jocyte is in--could be as late as 2025. My guess is that we still want Juste. She's the best player in her age group in Europe. Both Morgan and Juste are versatile. They could play together. As with many Europeans, Juste could opt for the pros over college in the U.S.
I wouldn’t imagine that were the case. They’re pretty similar game-wise, but they’re both versatile enough to play 2-4 (PG belongs to KK after next season).Does her commitment mean that UConn won't be pursuing Joste?
Congrats, Morgan, and to Geno and the Huskies.Think she could be similar to Maddy Siegrist in playing style?
If she's as good as Citron, I'll be pleased.Great get for Geno and Chris D., UConn team and Fans.
I remember the hubub when Haley Jones was being recruited and she stayed local. Truth be told, I thought -- in the end -- this would be a replication of it. Kudos for getting her to come to the right coast.
Her creativity reminds me of Paige B. to some degree, but her attention to technical details has a bit of ND's Sonia Citron. With Cheli and Ziebell in tow, you guys have the Fighting Irish in catch-up mode. And we haven't even gotten to enjoy Hannah Hidalgo getting on campus for the '23 season! Congrats..
Moosejaw- - -I'm onto a Bi-Pap machine!I'm on my fourth C-Pap. Guess I'll have to get a new one before all the new wonder-kids arrive.
I have seen the Huskies play at U of Pacific in Stockton, about an hour and a half from San Jose. I have also seen them at Stanford which is right there, but Tara doesn't seem to want to play us anymore. There is Cal, USF, UC Santa Cruz and a bunch of smaller schools. Plenty of schools to play additionally in SoCal to make it a worthwhile road trip. I hope I live to see it!This probably way to early, but does anyone have any suggestions on where we could play Morgan’s homecoming game?
I think one of her first offers was from Cal-Berkley, so maybe there.I have seen the Huskies play at U of Pacific in Stockton, about an hour and a half from San Jose. Yeah. I figured that she would go to a school out West. But I am happy that she is coming to Storrs. She is a game changer.Never thought Morgan would leave the west coast, much less end up at the house Geno built. It's now time for me to invest in advanced medical equipment so I have a good chance of being around in my upper 70's to see the upcoming Husky flying circus. With the help of God, like Geno, the Huskies and my B.Y friends we aren't going anywhere.
Wish there was a crying emoji .Congratulations to Morgan for committing to UCONN - basketball capital of the world.
Surprised we were able to pluck her out of Stanford territory.
