Monday 4/1/19 Games

Baylor had a pretty soft bracket, but that's what happens when you sweep the entire season and managed to hold UConn shooters down earlier in the year. That UConn win proving to be huge.

Nothing to take away from the Baylor team this year. Unlike Mississippi State, they gell. We had a weirdly meshed up team, they don't. Every piece of their puzzle is essential. Look how Didi Richards finds her way in this system.

Baylor is the best team by a substantial margin. If we make it to the title game, we will need a repeat of the Louisville Miracle over Baylor.

I hope ND is slapped around by Tara and the cardinals

Baylor is a complete team on both sides of the ball. They dominated this game even though Iowa isn't a bad team. Cox suffocated Gustafson with several monster blocks.
It will take a complete team to beat Baylor. Oregon/Baylor should be an all time great. Can Didi Richards guard Ionescu?

@TheFarmFan - I agree Baylor deserved the #1 seed, and was rewarded with the soft bracket they deserved. It was fair. But it's only a coincidence that the #8 team is so much weaker than #1-7. Baylor caught a break. No excuse for them this year, it's national championship or bust this year - when situations align so favorably for them.

I know they caught a few bad breaks through the years.

Congrats to Gustafson on reaching the 1,000 points. Just a fabulous all around player and a fun kid to watch

I've watched Baylor for many years. This team right now easily to me is Kim's most complete team she has ever had. They have defense, size, athleticism and can score 1-5 on the floor. Then you have kids like Egbo, Smith and Ursin who can be big impacts off the bench. Chemistry especially is unique. Much different than the team with Griner.

Bluder really threw in the towel early tonight. Only used one timeout.

Crowd size in Chicago appears similar to Saturday. Should be a good atmosphere.

She had to change up her mojo this year as she was knocked out the previous year in the elite 8 with the the wrong outfit.

More wrong than that??

I love that the Bears have a kid named Ursin.

Baylor sure seems to me to be the odds-on favorite.

I really like Kim Mulkey for some reason.

Uuuugh, Debbie calling the play. All we will hear about is how great Notre Dame and the ACC is and pay no attention to what's actually happening on the floor.

Dodson has to quit missing bunnies. 4 already. And jump shots aren't falling for Stanford again.

.-.
The only positive for Stanford is that so far the refs are letting both teams play. No ticky tack bail out calls.

How many shots are gonna rattle out for Stanford? They have been so damn unlucky the last couple games.

This has been ugly offensively so far

Hopefully Stanford can heat up from 3, they seem to be cold from there lately.

Stanford is a really good defensive squad
Tara is really smart. So tempting to take quick shots but keeping the tempo really slow is the only way to keep the Domers out of a groove. Taking away the pace and the three pointers that can rattle back deep is keeping them in the half court offense. Now if we could just find the basket. Lordy lordy we've missed a lot of open shots.
