ANTHONY HUDSON TO OVERSEE USMNT JANUARY CAMP

Figured it may be time to retire the '22 thread.

Looking ahead to this year - we have camp cupcake in a few weeks' time against a watered-down Colombia and Serbia - we also have both the CONCACAF Nations League and the Gold Cup this summer. Sounds like there is some chatter surrounding some big-name friendlies this fall. Personally hopeful to make it back to a game if they schedule anything here in the Northeast.

For me, this year is all about replacing the USSF brass and starting our prep for 2026. I'd love for them to clean house and start fresh. Would like to see the first team play together again this summer in either competition, mostly so we can get Gio back into the squad and put this drama behind us.

I'll admit I do not know much about Anthony Hudson, but I did enjoy the following thread:

So the Federation made a run a Zidane and he said no. But so did Portugal and Brazil so don’t feel bad.

Zidane’s camp cited language and relocation issues.

The crying from the MLS camp would have been oh so delicious if we had pulled Zidane.

I know that, but sometimes you get a young intriguing prospect before they go to a euro club

Chris Richards 2 consecutive starts and good performances. If Ggg is still around I think he’s found his ideal CB backup for Zim and Long

Well.....last nights game wasn't horrible. Considering Zimmerman had 37 of the 40 caps of the starters. Outshot them and out possessed them. However, 2 really dumb mistakes (Zimmerman and Neal) cost 2 goals.

Cowell was dangerous hitting both posts. He was a nightmare for Serbia all night. Vazquez with a nice goal. Other than that....not a lot. Zendajas looked good late in the game, wasn't around for the 1st 70 minutes though.

agreed. Cowbell really stood out to me. was pretty disappointed with Zimmerman's bonehead mistake on the first. really deflated us and he should do better to protect our teenage protege in goal.

I caught the second half mainly to see how HBO would do things.

But the match was a MLSUSMNT wet dream. Lots of plucky low skill but athletic Americans with bad touch.

Cowell looked lively at least.

It was just an awful game overall. Slow, disconnected, no one elevated their game. Cowell hit two posts, is that good or bad? Is it good positioning or lack of touch?

The Vazquez goal was a pretty one. Great movement to get open for the pass. Perfect touch off the header.

USA hosting copa america next summer. Huge. Now we do need to get a coach

Vazquez came out of this window raising his stock. Cowell as well. Ferreira couldn't impact the game in any way even down a level.

The game against Columbia was a turnoverfest for both squads. Lot's of activity no accomplishment.

Sadly, the best players for US, were probably Acosta and Arriola. :(

Read thru this thread if you haven’t looked at the report. Reyna’s look awful here.

I’m not a fan of GGG either, but this is just the completely wrong answer

Fight fire with fire. Greggg is the product of nepotism and an MLS attempt to subvert the national team.

And also he beat up his future wife. Sucks to be him.
