Yep, but what difference does it make? Aren’t you a SC fan.....whining about Missouri.....on a UConn board? Woooow. Perhaps a SC board is more apporpriate for the argument you’re trying to make, more people would agree with it. You could also try forming a support group for all the “troubles” Cunningham has caused for the SEC

Clever. But MY team is actually tied for second place in conference. I guess you haven’t been keeping up. Hopefully YOUR team is as clever when they are trying to maintain relevance after the “team” graduates this year

Yeah well your team doesn't play in a REAL conference. Don't worry we'll be just fine and why would I keep up with a team that ate our dust last year??? Maybe it is you that should TRY and keep up...

Missouri AD: Dawn Staley 'promoted' hostile atmosphere that led to spitting incident, racial slur

It would appear that the intense rivalry between S.C. And Missouri is not going away anytime soon. If these claims are proven true, there were some ugly things going on during and after their contest. I wouldn’t anticipate anything of the sort Thursday, and a lot of that could be attributed to the reputation and class the UConn program brings into the contest.

I think the Missouri AD was rightfully upset, but very wrong to blame Coach Staley.

I think Missouri Coach Pingeton handled things well.

It will be interesting if these two teams wind up playing again in Nashville in the SEC Tourney.

Let me get this straight...... So South Carolina fans there to support a all-black team, lead by a black head coach.... in a crowd with alot of blacks in attendance, used a racial slur towards the Mizzou black players? If it was audible enough for the Mizzou Players to hear it.... that person would need police protection to make it out of the arena....

Yes. Last year at Gampel when SC came to town, there was some physical play, and a few flying elbows by SC’s Bigs who were frustrated by UConn’s tenacious defense, but once the game was over, the game was over.

Not sure what the Mizzou AD expects to accomplish after his SC counterpart issued a statement indicating an investigation was completed and no evidence was uncovered.

Tanner's statement reads like a whitewash. The Missouri coach, team and assorted fans made up the accusations? I watched the game and it seemed as if at least a portion of the SC crowd was operating beyond how we'd hope to see home crowds behave.

Uconn tegularly faces rabid crowds when on the road but I have always found it exciting to have the ND, Maryland, Louisville, and SC fans scream and howl in support of their teams.

That SC Missouri game seemed to have brought out a behavior by some of the fans that should not be encouraged. And before our SC posters think that my comment is somehow directed at the entire SC faithful, I grew up in th NY area and have seen first hand how poorly fans can behave at football, basketball, baseball and hockey games and I certainly never wanted to be painted with the same brush as they were.

Still something unfortunate happened at the game in question and Tanner does his WCBB program no favors by pretending that everything was all just tickitiboo.

I love the Mizzou rivalry with SC in our current conference. When we were in the Big 8/Big 12 our biggest rival was always Kansas and I miss that.

Watching the replay of the rough play / scrimmage, that result in techs for the visiting team, I place some blame on the refs. They have some responsibility for the tone of the game getting out of hand, it looks to me.

Mizzou had a police escort onto the court and off the court, their fans sat behind them during the game... LOL, the lies man.

Our AD just released a statement refuting Pingeton's claims. This is so ugly. How unfortunate.

Tournament or not, I want nothing to do with Missouri. Even if it makes it more difficult for SC to win the SEC, I hope Mississippi State wipes the floor clean with them on Thursday. I wish that program nothing but failure.

Perhaps a little harsh? It's just a game.

Man it is lit down there between those teams! If Vic beats SoCar next week expect that to finally become a rivalry as well.
