Read the last few game threads. Several player had off games, yet KLS got the most of your scorn.

Frankly, I didn't miss you in this thread. If you decided not to participate in any more game threads, I'd be OK with that.
 
See, Eric (wherever in the world you are) there is ALWAYS something to deplore, if only you look hard enough.

Don't claim to have the market cornered on objective logical observation when that simply isn't true. You have said yourself in defending some of your negative remarks that they were made in the "Heat" of the game. Wouldn't that indicate an emotional response to things happening in a close game? I mean it's OK for that to happen sometimes, but don't declare that your always calm, cool and collected.

KLS is an exceptional passer....and while Stewie has made strides this year in that part of her game KLS is averaging twice as many assist per game than Stewie did freshman year and KLS has a 2.2 A/T ratio while Stewie had a .6 her freshman year...we have very reason to believe that KLS game, while different from Stewies, could be as equally exciting

Scorn? Yes, I pointed out in the last game how I wished she would be shooting like SF's freshmen. Some scorn. I should mention the off games of other players? That would make you happy? Somehow I don't think so.

Is that a threat or a hope? Your post near the end seemed to indicate I was on your mind. Sorry for that being the case. Next time someone suggests something like Ekmark being a better athlete than Bria Hartley, and then someone else objects, I hope you are as demonstrative in your outrage.

Where are the negative remarks? There's a difference between venting during a game and making a rebuttal to a comment about player comparisons. I didn't post during the game and have rarely done so this season.

As much as I admire a healthy dose of erudite disdain, I must point out I haven't been particularly obscure. You are almost single-handedly making the game threads unreadable for a number of posters. Many posters, actually. Majority rules here.

KLS is a good passer. That has been noted by many. Stewart is a terrific passer, even more so since she's less of a guard then a player like Samuelson. Passing is probably Stewart's second-best skill.
 
GREAT retrospective on SNY about the "95" Championship team. REALLY Good to watch!

Is that like the guy who attacked me with the conspiracy theory involving AAU coaches and claimed others were privately in agreement with him over his delusion? Strangely, I never saw any reprimand for that nonsense.

The folks who can't read the threads due to my occasional participation don't put my posts on ignore or simply bypass them which would seem to solve the problem. I don't really think this boils down to game threads, but I won't post in them if that will make everyone happier.

I contemplated that and used to put people on "ignore" sometimes. But then I thought, the heck with that. If I think you're out to lunch with some of the negative remarks I'm going to disagree with you. This is a our community and I don't want to see it turn into a "Chicken Little" board. I don't want to have to stick my head in the sand and ignore it. There may be people who have stopped posting because of the negative postings. It shouldn't be that way. We have an undefeated team for goodness sakes. We should savor and enjoy these times.

Maybe they shouldn't have been posting in the 1st place. You (not "you" blueballer) can't be that thin-skinned.

I like slu's posts. I like nan's posts. I like this site. I don't see why anyone should get so upset as long as there are no personal insults. I guess to each his own . . .

I don't like the same song over and over and over and over .......
 
I really like the addition of Butler to this team for the simple fact that she adds size to the lineup which could be crucial against south carolina. However, I have noticed that she is a shoot first pass second player so far. There were a few times when she simply forced shots, once even twice in one possession both through double teams. I like the offensive aggression and rebounding, but sometimes passing is the best choice. It looks nice when they go in (the few heavily contested jumpers her first game) but ugly when they aren't.

Honestly, Can't fault the player who was so heavily relied on at Georgetown to produce on the scoreboard. I have confidence she will settle in and provide meaningful minutes come tournament time. Just thinking her facilitating could improve, but maybe thats the spoiled me talking after our years with Stef Dolson .

I must say I have no direct knowledge of people who haven't posted because of it - just guessing. However to your point, I did ignore it for a long time. Or maybe just made a sarcastic reply. But then it was happening over and over and over (Like calpedaler just said) and it just got to be a major annoyance. Like a blight on the community that prides itself on constructive criticism (Not destructive). As has been said here before parents and relatives of these players read these boards. One of the unique things about this site is the general positive attitude of the people who have posted over the years. It would be nice if it stayed that way.

I think the mods do a great job. If someone is being offensive in which a family would be insulted they step on it. So on here you got any examples of over-the-line for parents? If there were, I would think the mods stomped it out, right?
