I suspect 5'8".

Anyway that's perfectly fine for the college Div 1 game. He will abuse taller players with his speed, quickness, deftness and low to the ground ball handling. We just need to not look at him with NBA eyes for a few years and enjoy his anticipated guard contributions he brings to the college game.

Personally I love small college point guards, they really flourish at this stage and make the game exciting.

And never overlook the play-making abilities of Alterique Gilbert of Miller Grove (GA). The 5-11 dynamo is a perfect fit for Kevin Ollie at UConn in future years. He pushes the tempo and can create plays both in transition and in the half-court.

Rivals: From an effort standpoint, you had to like what Connecticut-bound point guard Alterique Gilbert brought to the table. Gilbert gave any squad he was running with a charge of energy and really looked like he was there to compete. He's the smallest player here by a pretty considerable margin but gets after it.

247: Connecticut commitment Alterique Gilbert also impressed with his passing. Along with his playmaking, he was the one defender who could keep Malik Monk from having his way to the rim.
