I'll watch but instead of merely scoring I'll be looking for ball-handling, passing and defense. But I won't take too much from their performances, one way or the other.

I recall watching Stewie play in this game. Her performance was underwhelming, to say the least and look what happened after Geno got his hands on her.

IIRC from past years, mixed shooting is mixing of the sexes. Male/female teams.

Does it involve any passing? Every year I try to watch this game and every year I bail, since more often than not it reminds me of a pre-teen club team soccer match. So now I tape it and fast forward to an interesting spot or sideline interview.

It was a girl star, boy star, and legend. Team event. I think Hayes was on Jayne Appels team.

It was a part of Powerade Jam. It's on ESPN Watch App.

Worth checking out.

Side note: Chasity Patterson, Texas commit, smoked the competition in 3pt shooting contest. Hit 9/10 of last baskets and scored more than any of the boys. It was fun to watch.

Just curious. Someone posted the Hoopgurlz ranking of high school prospects for the 2013 class, which showed how badly they had evaluated the talent. I wonder how that 2013 class and other classes looked in the McDonald's All-American game? Did the two dozen kids selected by McD turn out to be the better players in the class? Did they select the real top talent, as compared with what Hoopgurlz claimed were the best? Did the kids performing well in that McD AA game turn out to be the top players in college?

McD's is theoretically the 24 best players (plus or minus some fudging for positional balance) and they did have Epps, Plum, Coates, and Allen on the rosters. All outside the HG top 24 but ultimately very good college players. The HG top-24 players not on the McD's roster were - Allisha Gray, Jannah Tucker, Jessica Jackson, Raigyne Moncrief, Marques Webb. So yes, it looks like the McD's selectors did a better job evaluating talent than HG did that year.

For what it's worth, the West crushed the East that year. I believe Russell was the MVP.
