#1. Olivia Vukosa, 6'4 CO2026- 2.6 bpg


Olivia was a completely dominant force on the inside in weekend 1. At 6'4, she's pretty much able to impact any shot from within 5 feet. And she's a quick 6'4 too, always keeping her feet moving on defense to be able to help around the rim at any time. Yes her height makes it easy for her to rack up blocks, but she wouldn't be leading this list if it wasn't for her great positioning on pick-and-rolls. She has mastered the craft of the drop coverage. She does a good job of centering herself between the roller and the ball-handler, which allows her to drop either hip depending on where the ball goes. Because she's quick for her size and usually has reacted before the ball-handler can get by her, it ends up forcing teams to shoot a lot of threes. And because she's in good position from the drop, she's able to easily find and box out her girl to get the rebound. She's also a great communicator, yelling out "right" or "left" on a screen pretty much every time. It's really fun to watch actually. It's rare to find an underclassmen big at 6'4+ who already has a strong understanding of HOW to play defense, and not just how to block a few shots. She has the ability to control the game on defense just based on where she's standing. It's also rare to find one who's moving as much as Olivia does, on both ends. She's always trying to get herself in better positioning on defense, but also always battling for it inside on offense too. She sets a lot of high ball screens and has a good feel of when to roll or slip. And if she doesn't get it right away, she immediately feels out her defender and starts to post up on the block. She consistently is one of the hardest players on the floor, and it will be fun to see how much she can add to that block total after this coming weekend.
