Interesting. She's been committed to Stanford for going on two years.

It’s probably an old follow then. I’ve never been able to figure out how to find when someone starts ”following”

That could be it, but whenever a coaching legend quits and the program may have lost a little luster, some previously commits may want to rethink their plans too.
Swain reposted things related to the new coach when it was announced. I think she’s staying committed. You’d also have to assume recruits will know that there’s a chance coaches like Tara will retire soon, given how long she’d been doing that.

JEZELLE “GG” BANKS: URSELINE ACADEMY (DE), 2027 (UNCOMMITTED)

Jezelle Banks has the skillset to quickly put the offense in full throttle. Banks consistently found her way into the teeth of the defense, making the correct basketball play in the process. Banks can serve as a floor spacer with legitimate shooting range from the 3-point line. By keeping opposing defenses honest, there is
usually a lot of space for Banks to operate after beating the initial defender before getting to the helpline read.

JERZY ROBINSON: SIERRA CANYON (CA), 2026 (UNCOMMITTED)

The Most Valuable Player of last year's USA 16-and-Under National Team, Jerzy Robinson elected not to play club basketball this spring. As a result, it took her a couple of gameplay sessions to find her rhythm in the live action. But, things started clicking on Saturday morning. A 5-star rising junior, Robinson is a rhythm scorer who needs to see a couple of shots drop for the flood gates to open. Her physical size and skillset package is unique even in a setting like this.

KALEENA SMITH: ONTARIO CHRISTIAN (CA), 2027 (UNCOMMITTED)

Arguably the nation's premier player in the rising sophomore class, Kaleena Smith got off to a fast start and never looked back. Her ability to score has never been in question, but Smith showed that her court vision is a major strength during the trials. There were multiple passes that Smith was able to make fit through tight windows, hitting teammates in stride for layups. She has the feel of a player who can make this roster as a true lead guard.

IVANNA WILSON-MANYACKA: BULLIS SCHOOL (MD), 2027 (UNCOMMITTED)

Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka got it rolling offensively on Friday night and that pace continued into Saturday's session. One of the two youngest players in the gym, Wilson-Manyacka may have the best high pick-up that I've seen from a high school prospect, ripping the ball over a defender's head and finishing the layup. The move and finish resulted in a collective gasp from the parents in the stands and showed just how much potential Wilson-Manyacka possesses. She is on track to be a 5-star prospect when her initial class rankings are released. The most dangerous part of Wilson-Manyacka's game is her versatility. She'll make a move like that high pick-up then hit a 3-pointer on the next possession.

Nonsense that Somfai isn’t ranked yet.
