Maryland v. Delaware

Based purely on math, the Sagarin "pure points" methodology put Maryland about 2 points ahead of Delaware on a neutral court. Given that it was really home court for Maryland, Maryland "should" have won by 6 or 7. Pretty much, the outcome of the game was as predicted.

PS: For those who don't "know" how the mathematical models work, if you look at Microsoft Excel Solver examples, they show a rudimentary example. Sagarin has refined the method, but the Microsoft model gives a good idea how it all works.

Watching other top teams you can see the huge difference in how Uconn runs their offense and defense and how everybody else does. I'll Uconns coaching is far superior than most other teams. For example. We lead Baylor by 11 and hadn't been to the line once. Pretty goof when you think about positions it. Next time we hit 10 foul shots it should be a different game.
