Marquette Post Game Thread

Good rhetorical question. I never have been concerned with seeding. I read the threads, but rarely comment on them. I more concerned with how the team plays down the stretch and fixing their weaknesses. I just don't think they have fixed them.
You are spot on. That is the only thing that matters. And right now there is trouble in paradise.

Problem is we keep needing things to fabricate some alleged fire that’s supposedly hiding somewhere. If clinching a regular season title wasn’t enough for a fire, what is???
Sadly true. There has been an overall nonchalant attitude to this team that is hard to figure out and not sure it’s getting fixed this season

The team has no one that can consistently step up when the going gets tough and pick up everyone else. No one wants to be the guy. No one is the guy. Everyone's looking for someone else to make things happen. It's been a problem all year.

Stuff to be worried about sure, but we will see how they look when they start playing basketball again in a 12 or 13 days.

The denial some have on this team and how they were constructed is simply unbelievable. Creighton didn’t wake you up. The near catastrophe’s in conference. Today. Nothing gets through.

Silas was fine today- it was UConn’s no offense against a decent zone. Guess what opposing teams will throw against UConn in the tournament? Mullins couldn’t hit anything from outside today. A lot went wrong today. Loved Ross though- he is showing his talent.
He really needs to do a better job of valuing the ball. Any team we face with guard(s) that are steal specialists (there are many) will continue to zero in on him like a heat seeking missile, like Darling in the first SJ game.

Hurley is an balloon knot. There was no excuse for behaving like that at the end

Agree that was embarrassing. They already don’t like you it’s well known. Now throw a bigger target on your kids, they’ll get zero calls now, just a ridiculous act. It wasn’t a foul and shouldn’t expect it to be. Awful display!

I don't think he will be, but he bumped the ref so he's gonna be writing a check at a minimum.
Did he? Maybe there's an angle I haven't seen but I've watched the replays and it doesn't really look like it

Karaban & Mullins were 1-15 from 3 and I’d say 75% of those shots were completely wide open. I’m not even sure that’s possible to replicate a stat like that again.

Denial. Another “they just missed open shots” excuse.

Good news: Shot 17-18 from the line, Almost 100%.

Bad News: 3-24 from 3. 12.5%.

Imagine if they hit just one more three. We might have pulled out that game.

Conclusion : A very good team having a very bad day!

What to expect: I'm just not sure what to expect from this team. They look like a team that can beat anyone but also one that can lose to just about anyone.

Stop saying it was a foul. It was a good contest, and Demary didn’t finish.
Yep, Gold went straight up. We had no business getting bailed out in that game. The final play summed up the team today. AK stood in the backcourt with the ball until he was face to face with Silas and put it in his hands and Silas was just hoping to get bailed out on the drive to the hoop.
