More than accurate. FACTNot even close to accurate, but it requires critical thinking. At the minimum, the last possession was botched so badly it’s unbelievable.

Man I agree with you! Just sometimes you have to mix it up. He seemed tentative often (until the end of the game). Just think the killer instinct has to develop with him. Too soft at times.Calhoun himself said he had to treat different players differently. Some you could scream at and some you couldn’t. None of us has any idea how Hawkins would react to a JC type tirade.
You love piling on Hurley no matter what, we lost by 2 points in a game where our first round pick couldn’t make a shot…and our other two shooters couldn’t get it going. I know you hate Hurley but be objective a little bit about where the fault lies.Everyone still out here for moral victories when we were the favorites coming in. Nothing to show for it.
Fair enough, I look forward to all your positive posts coming up over the next few weeks starting on ThursdayIt’s not hate. It hasn’t been since I started posting in 2009. I love watching the team and the university. I’m just not going to lie to myself with some moral victory thought
It gets repeated because it doesn’t get fixed. We have the same conversations after every loss, every year.
There was changes this year after our horrid slide and that was great, but you get judged by your wins and loss. We have nothing to show for 5 years.
Why did Diarra play when every game he was out we were rolling? He’s been bad. Why did Clingan play 4 minutes in the first half? He only played 6 in the second half and he changed the game. Then he never came back in and we looked lost. That’s coaching. Our defense let let shoot almost 50% from the floor and 40% from three.
Missing free throws and open shots aren’t on the coach
This ^^^ times 1000.I would have had Alleyne in for Newton or Hawk.
What do you hope to get having to inbounds and execute in 4 seconds?I have no problem not calling the timeout right away, but felt like one should have been called around 4 seconds once we didn't get anything in transition
We don't really run plays for him much. It's all Hawkins circling, Newton driving, or Sanogo inside. Getting him shots requires screening away from the ball, doesn't happen enough.Karaban not enough shots. Not sure why...but he was the guy who needed to carry this game.
You’re blaming the players and not the guy in charge. Players change, results stay the sameYou love piling on Hurley no matter what, we lost by 2 points in a game where our first round pick couldn’t make a shot…and our other two shooters couldn’t get it going. I've been complaining all year that we need to set up a play early in each half that has Hawkins slashing to the rim. He's an athlete and we play most of the early parts of the game with him as a spot up shooter.I just wanted Hawkins to take it to the hole and let them foul him. It was better than a fall away three-pointer
Karaban is such a sound player. He’s going to have a bright futureWe don't really run plays for him much. It's all Hawkins circling, Newton driving, or Sanogo inside. Getting him shots requires screening away from the ball, doesn't happen enough.
We get open 3's for Karaban and Hawkins all the time on out of bounds playsWhat do you hope to get having to inbounds and execute in 4 seconds?
No one’s “blaming” anyone but you. In CBB you lose gamesYou’re blaming the players and not the guy in charge. Players change, results stay the same
This 100+. Hawk wasn’t even playing D and Clingan was in their heads. Bad player decision management. It’s crazy because UConn Twitter complaining about the zone. The zone got us back in it. They couldn’t hit anything with Donovan in the paint. They hit a three when we put Hawk and Adama back in.
Maybe he should say we own it after getting into one big east final at least. Just sayingBefore the game Hurley said he owns msg. We have nothing to show for it. Incredibly frustrating
Nope. It will be tough to watch us going down to a 13 seed. Sure key players didn’t have good games tonite but it was still there for the taking. Where was Clingan at the end of the game? 30+ games in and the coach still has no clue….timeouts, subs, just awful…This is our ceiling folks……one win in the BET
Anyone confident about next week??
At the end of the day it's his program and ultimately the results are his responsibility. You love piling on Hurley no matter what, we lost by 2 points in a game where our first round pick couldn’t make a shot…and our other two shooters couldn’t get it going. I know you hate Hurley but be objective a little bit about where the fault lies.
Hawk looked very downtrodden. He needs to show his mental toughness. AJax will respond because he’s tough and goes all out no matter what, and no one can budge Sanogo. It’s all on Hawk now, can’t be pouty.Touchè. I don’t think he was observing there though. Newton missed Sanogo wide open in the paint. The play was there, they just didn’t execute. Hindsight is 20/20. Disappointing result though. I wanted this one. I still think we’re the best team and it sucks. Hawkins has to have a quick mental turn around. We have to get out of the 1st weekend
We should have a good opportunity to do that as a 3 seed, which we should be. I like our chances in a 3-14 game, and then in a 3-6 or 3-11 game.If we make it out of week 1 it will be a pleasant surprise. Coach hasn’t shown the ability to get his guys to show up when the bright lights get even brighter.
