Because there has been next to nothing said about Adama Sanogo post game in this or any thread …

Adama was the games second leading scorer last night in a game UConn dominated and most everyone played well. He had 18 points to Hawkins’ 20. He missed two or three shots he normally makes but he still shot better than 50 percent from the floor. His three from the top of the of the key looked good until it rattled out.

His passing was great including a highlight bounce pass in the lane for one of his three assists. He had been criticized for his inability to pass but has turned that into a strength midseason. He finished with three assists. He also effectively helped break the press.

He also had 7 rebounds including three on the offensive glass and a steal.

He leads the team in rebounds and continues to lead the team AND THE CONFERENCE in scoring and is among the conference leaders in rebounds and field goal percentage.

Anyway, good game Adama.

AS did play very well last night and in several of the previous games. It coincides with moving him from trying to post up under the basket to higher up the lane. The majority of his good assists come when he is around the foul line. When he was being double teamed down low he did not pass well from there.

I think moving AS up the lane has made him more effective passing and scoring and it has opened the court up more for Newton and Hawkins to drive. It’s been a good subtle change by the coaching staff and AS has made it work.

Worst game we played all season by far. We were abysmal that afternoon and made the Johnnies look like conference title contenders.

I still wonder if there's some back story to that performance that we'll never 100% know.

Teams have flat/twilight zone games for no good reason all the time, but that was just too bizarre how bad they generally were and horrid they were on defense (though Hawk played out of his mind on offense).

They had just come back from a loss in Milwaukee...on a plane...airports...hotels...did some of the team catch a bug? Also, whole coaching staff was away at that Hoophall event the night before...they're college kids...12pm start on a Sunday...all-night on-campus rager party hangover?
