At one point, UConn was the leader fir Kegler, but somehow managed to work their out out of his top six or seven.

Very Terry Larrier-ish

Mario needs to go to a school where his exploits are appreciated by a college fanbase that drinks from a keg every time his name is mentioned. That would not be a place like Mississippi State where such games are reserved for players throwing brown oblong balls.

Mario Kegler would be a great Sidney Wilson replacement.

I think UConn could find some keg drinkers if that is required.

Kids just do not like Ben Howland.

He lost Newman to Kansas last year.

This spring, Garrison Brooks bailed out of letter of intent and now Kegler is leaving.

He'd be a nice fit here - Indiana, Maryland and Baylor were pretty close to him last time around, so I'm not optimistic, but it'd be nice.

I wanted this kid last year. Hope we make the most of this second shot at him.

I'm not optimistic we land anyone anymore. I have hung up what little hope I had after Sid Wilson miss.

Probably a 2-year guy and effectively a 2018 recruit. Possible Larrier replacement or understudy.

Sure, why not.

We won't land a single decent recruit until we start winning games. Right or wrong, there's a stink coming off the program.

I never had a good feeling about Sid Wilson. It's just too easy for teams to negative-recruit against us.

Why would anyone go to a team that went 16-17 and lost a bunch of transfers who said kind of weird things on the way out?

If we win, things will change.

Averaged 10+ and 5+ in the SEC as a freshman and started every game for them. Seems like he really came into his own in the last third of the season (according to their message board). Would love to have him in Storrs.

If you were a transfer and you saw UConn's transfer situation it may suggest that there was some problem at UConn. If you had other viable options UConn could get eliminated early on in the process.

Crazy the way Texas and UConn's off-seasons have comparatively went given that Texas had an even worse year.

There's obviously more to this than conference affiliation too, before people go there.

Do we know if UConn has any interest in him? Seems to make sense... we'd need someone with experience to go along with all the young 2018 kids.

From what I here about campus life these days, UCONN no longer qualifies....

"Sure, why not"? More like, "oh, hell yes".
