March Madness Day 1 Thread

Marquett’s weakness of defensive rebounding is costing them big time vs North Carolina. It’s why UConn was a bad match up for Marquette

Damn and Richmond had to win the A10 tournament to even get into the Big Dance. They barely beat an under 500 Rhode Island I A10 tourney

I wonder what the biggest margin of victory is in an 8/9 game. UNC should go for it.

Seriousl, I know. It was 3 offensive rebounds they gave up that they should have secured and they resultEd in 3 3pters that allowed Carolina that broke this game
 
If I was Shaka Smart, I would play the starters at least the first 10 minutes of the second half. Make them eat this ish sandwich.
 
Also Shaka having them full court press too often got UNC a bunch of open 3s. He should have gotten away from the full court press much sooner

Gonzaga in a 2 point game with GA State at half. If they win they have to play red hot Memphis who honestly may have the talent advantage.

I was just recently trying to pull up highlights of that game the other day, but found nothing. My youngest son had given up on the good guys late in the game vs. Villanova. I told him stranger things have happened and went searching, to no avail. Didn’t Darius Rice hit 3 3’s in 9-ish seconds to beat us? If anyone knows the full story, I’d love to hear it.
 
Just switched to Gonzaga vs Georgia State.... doesn't appear that either are playing D

It was at least two 3s. I don't think he hit 3 of them... but my memory is not that great. The last one was on a turnover by us. Shamon Tooles inbounded the ball to no one. Rice ran it down, spun and drained a three with either no time or very little time. Never seen such a ridiculous husky loss. I was speechless.

Timme has gotten the best whistle I’ve ever seen today. Literally has had 5-6 times this game where he’s drawn a foul call on the other team while not even getting touched. The first half was insane…one of the Georgia St. big guys had 4 fouls in the first half and only one of them was an actual foul. Tough to win a game against the #1 seed when you’re practically playing on their home court and you have to beat the zebras too.
