March Madness 2nd Round - Special Monday Edition

A little different for Colorado in 3 point shooting with lanky guys out in your face....they shot 24% from the 3's. 25 shots and hit only 6.

Ham had his guys keep hammering inside to draw fouls....

Alabama is much different animal than our limited offense. Great spacing, crisp passing and multiple shooters. Maryland can't rotate with extra help like they did with us.

Watching these games has taught me you can never play 2 bigs at the same time who can't shoot 3's. You can get away with one big who can't but plays great defense or maybe traditional post game but the other big has to shoot 3's. You have to be able to score from the outside in today's college basketball.

Ugh...FSU's next draw is #1 Michigan....Rather be in Bama's place and have drawn...#15...#10...and next, #11

You can do that when you have the best backcourt in the country, a legit 3rd option who can go for 25, and a knockdown three point shooter. A lot of UConn's offense in '14 was Bazz or Boat taking the ball to the end of the shot clock and creating a bucket for themselves.
Yeah , I know. Thats why I said what I said.

I don't know about "bigs"....but FSU plays a 6'9 Point Guard (not a traditional PG), along with a 7'1" Center and 6"9"" Forward..

Yes as long as your other tall players can shoot they are fine. You can't have 2 traditional bigs on the floor is what I'm saying.

FSU is massive. Their point guard is Sanogo's size. They'd take turns posting us up in the paint and behind the woodshed all day.

It will end for FSU against Michigan...but three Sweet Sixteens in a row is a decent job by Ham....

You do not need 4 3 pt shooters at all times. That’s nonsense. But the 3 you have need to be good, and the two you don’t need strong post games or midrange games.

By example, if you’ve got Roberr Parish and Kevin McHale, you don‘t bench them and play Larry Bird at center.
