Some BB material. Dauster hinting at Florida taking 1 seed if they run their schedule. We should be UK fans.

@DRBackup To respond to your question from the other thread, yes Miami should absolutely be in if their only loss was to Akron in the MAC tournament final. Any team who goes through the regular season undefeated should get in IMO.

But I'm a little bit confused by your framing of the questions. You asked if their loss had come earlier in the season would people feel the same way about them getting an at large. The whole point is that they didn't lose earlier, or at any point. That's the only reason they're even in the conversation.

Your post dismisses Miami's accomplishment thus far of being undefeated because of their easy schedule. Yet there have been 5 undefeated regular seasons in college basketball since 1980 across every conference, good or bad. It is a really hard thing to do, regardless of opponent level. That's why some people suggest they should get an at large bid

That first bracket is already dubious. It has St Johns going far. UConn losing to St Luis ?

I was traveling most of yesterday and probably missed this on here, but what was this about? Anyone know more than what is in this article? We all know Calipari is an --- but Golden has had some run-ins this year also.

About the biggest drama was Calipari and Florida coach Todd Golden screaming at each other early in the second half and drawing double-technicals. Calipari's assistants had to pull him away from midcourt. Golden, meanwhile, turned and started to rile up the home crowd.

Both coaches said they couldn't even recall what started the exchange.

"Who knows? We're both competitors," Calipari said. "He's done a great job. I can tell you: He outcoached me today.

Lost in irrelevancy, Cuse lost to Wake Forest on Saturday, a game they were favored per ESPN. They are now 15-14 with games at Louisville and, in my second-biggest game to ours against Marquette Saturday, home vs Pitt to end the season. I will be a huge Pitt fan as they potentially deliver Cuse a second consecutive losing season, and third over the last 5 years.

At this point it isn't even fun hating them anymore. They're a pathetic irrelevant program. Not much different than Boston College.

Not sure if you read their board, but the discussion about their future coach/AD is incredible. Appears there is real talk they will bring back Mike Hopkins. I guess Melo has some giant NIL package lined up if they bring back Hopkins as the coach. It seems like there is also some power struggle between the Melo camp and some other giant donor, where they want different people for both jobs.

In the day and age of NIL, it’s very possible to turn a program around incredibly quickly. The absolute dysfunction in that athletic department makes me think that is not likely for Cuse.

How many years has it been since he got tired of being the coach in waiting? 15? More?

Interesting breakdown on Krivas by Sam V. Would love to get one of these types of bigs on our roster. How is Lloyd getting them so much that he can let another walk (kid to UNC)?
