pretty harsh take…

we get a 3 and a 2 in Landrew and County.

Furphy back in U19 had a lot of Mullins overlap just isn’t there yet. Was hitting 3s and driving with a good left hand finish when needed. Also loves playing D.

Reibe is likely starting at the 5 pending portal better or worse than him.

Ross/Stewart can start. Stewart did when Mullins was out.

Guys like Jacob Ross still won’t crack the core 8/9 but with only 2 coming in and up to 6 going out the math needs 4 transfers to keep the bench the bench.
It's not in the least bit harsh. Furphy isn't in the same ballpark as Mullins as a talent. That's not a knock on Furphy. There's no way both Ross and Stewart can be starting if we have any aspirations of being a title contending team next season. Reibe is a guaranteed starter.

Silas has no chance of being drafted first round in this draft unless he does something miraculous in the NCAA tournament.

I get your point, it doesn't need be a top school. I know the article cut off after 3 and most people aren't subscribers to Extra Points. It was not just top schools who shut them out. Boise State and Grand Canyon who are top 50ish KenPom teams were on there and responded but didn't agree to a game. Sacred Heart who is barely even top 300 was on there and didn't even respond so it was spread across a whole range of teams.

I don't even think they're going to win in the tournament either, I just think they deserve to be there
I subscribed just to read it. They're an interesting case. We'll see what happens.

This may be somewhat reliable as Goodman is going by convos he's had with execs, vs his own subject list.

Mullins - 11
Duke, AZ and UM all with 3 first rounders.

We all agree Miami's schedule stinks, there's a reason they have the 196th rated SOS right now. My only point here is they tried to schedule better and the power conference teams didn't want to play them.
Calhoun for example, would never schedule a team like Miami. One St. Bonnie was enough. The only hope for a team like that is to get in a preseason tournament.

Capel has a weekly show on the local sports talk channel. I was out and about and listening and I heard something I felt was pretty remarkable. Pitt had two games in CA this past week, so they stayed out there. Capel said it was the first time all year his players got to hang out for a few days together and do stuff. He said they didn't do any teambuilding trips in the summer because there was no money for it.

Pitt has done summer teambuilding trips for as long as I lived here (24 years now). The financial mess former AD Lyke left them with must be much worse than I imagined. Given this info, I can't see how they can Capel with a $12 million buyout even though most Pitt fans say it's gotta happen. Time to pass the hat I guess.

There's talk of AJ Dybantsa staying at BYU and that the owner of the Jazz, Ryan Smith, a BYU grad, may throw a huge load of NIL money over AJ's way to have him stay and wait until the Jazz gets the 1st pick.

Iowa has put together a nice 7-0 run.
Michigan 63-60. Does that mean for Iowa....

Bizarre. Why does AJ want to stay in Utah?

Nobody watching Iowa-Michigan? UM up 2 with 43 seconds left. Iowa with the ball. Great game so far.
Michigan 68 Iowa 66

Michigan just traveled, with 25 seconds left.

Iowa guy dribbles off his leg going to basket.

Michigan ball 8.1 seconds.

Gayle gets credit for causing Iowa's turnover, but Yaxel's defense on Stirtz was the winning play. Stirtz could not get a shot off.
