California high school basketball has been given the go-ahead to start its season which will run from now until early June. This means games for Isuneh Brady and UConn '23 target Breya Cunningham.

Aalyah Del Rosario named BCSL player of the year.


Del Rosario is one of the most intimidating players in New Jersey. Her 6-6 frame is nearly unstoppable for teams to contend with down in the low block, which led to teams having to double and sometimes triple team her in the post.


Del Rosario, the No. 2 player in the Class of 2023 per ESPN, was still efficient scoring, rebounding and distributing the ball and making opposing offenses think twice before attacking the rim. Del Rosario averaged 16.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game this season for a team that ended the season with a 14-1 record.

If you take one look at Del Rosario’s numbers, 16.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, she might not stack up with some of the other players around the state numbers-wise. However, that doesn’t take into account the amount of double and triple teams she faced. The 6-foot-6 post player was the player opposing coaches centered their game plan around, and Del Rosario dealt with it at a high level. Add in her passing and her defensive abilities and Del Rosario showed why was she was one of the best in the state this year.

Paulina Paris on NJ.com's All-State Second Team:



G-Paulina Paris, Saddle River Day, Jr.


It did not take long for Paris to establish herself among the elite in New Jersey this season. Paris transferred to Saddle River Day from Albertus Magnus High School in New York prior to the season starting. All Paris did this year was average 24.4 points per game, good enough for ninth in the state. She showcased her shooting ability and elite finishing at the rim and got better building chemistry with her teammates as the season went on.

Ayanna confirms the dunk videos are legit, with 10 ft rim, etc. Hasn’t dunked in a game, but definitely could, and her coach wants her to. Working on it this off-season so she’ll be comfortable dunking next year within the flow of the offense.

Geno has asked her to work on her shooting consistency from certain spots on the floor.
