Malachi Smith on official visit today

Assist highlights

I doubt Pitt is taking 2 6 footers at guard in the same year unless they are trying to replicate some UConn magic. They have almost identical stats. Also, your post is from March 30th so outdated.

Pretty sure he was just posting that tweet for the video of Smith’s highlights.

I love Hoops, but I doubt he'll be the source we hear about this commitment from first.

My honest guess: he heard a scoop from a farce account like Rob Reinhart and is just relaying what he saw. Classic mistake for a venerable dude, but he's also in his 80s navigating Twitter. My parents are only in their 70s, but they know aplenty Nigerian princes.

That being said, I'm still feeling good about this.

Chalk one up for Dick Weiss ;)

Dick Hoops Weiss is an OG...

What? I could not care less what the words in the tweet said, dingus. The highlights are all of assists. Malachi Smith is A Husky.
Why am I a dingus when you are the one posting a tweet that had no relevance to the the thread without context noted. Those highlights have been shown in other tweets and the tweet was super old. You didn’t specify hey look at the hightlights. I won’t sink down to name calling like you.

Love this pickup so much. He wasn't good at finishing but he gets into the lane off the bounce, he gets after it defensively, he's an elite passer, and he's very accurate shooting off the catch just like Silas.
Agree from what I saw he still needs to learn how to get into the shot blocker better. He tries to move away and shoot it over the defender and that won’t work at the higher levels.

But as you mention he can get into the lane with his handle, decent quickness and although not an elite shooter the defender has to respect it.

I see he missed most of the 23-2024 season…does he have just one year of eligibility left? I think so but not sure.

Who is better than Skyler? He gives a lift to the hockey and hoops team as well as being the best WR in program history.
This is something that I wish many on this board would adhere to. Other sports (beyond the one they are most involved with following) having success and growing a fanbase is good for the school as a whole, the athletic department and their sport of choice.

Hopefully they will one day realize how asinine it is to not care about success in other sports, or worse, prefer they go away.
