1. We all agree that several AAC Universities got better at Football these last 5 years. UCF - Cincinnati - Memphis - Houston - Temple. Then Tulane & SMU

That’s a good % of the AAC. Plus Navy.

Got them a 13 year contract that’s not that much Value. They worked their ass off - and the “Market” responded. Not huge over our 1-11 & 2-10 & lots of MWC & G5. Plus Hoop

The Cartel has locked them out.

2. The length of that AAC deal is a killer. Can’t get past it. CFB will change dramatically. And you need to be flexible ... in the 2024-2027 time period. I’m not thinking conference realignment. But just stuff.

3. Hoop. We can leap ahead still with Hurley & Auriemma.

4. Learfield/IMG is a good connection. In spite of our poor football, we have utility. The CBSSN is a feat that was unexpected.

5. We can get major P5 schools who want to play not far from NYC/Boston. But we can really benefit plugging games if ... Buffalo, Liberty, BYU, Army, UMASS, James Madison (upgrade), Old Dominion are good and we pull them in. The P5 fits nicely with that level as backfill.

The ptoblem is that the league diesn't have the interest drawing matxh ups.....like LSU;Bama, Fla-Ga, Ohio State-Michigan, etc.

Cincinnati-Memphis may be sweet, but the bees don't know it.

The NCAA essentially just legalized buying players so there will be a shift in the power balance.

If only T Boone Pickens were still alive OkSt would be a contender. Does SMU still have all those oil alums and do they still care about FB?
How does a school like okstate qualify? They sponsor few teams?
