I'd guess we would be #6 or #7 but I dont get how Lundari doesnt think they we're are a top 10 let alone top 15 team?

Right now they are immensely talented, as well as being young and inconsistent. And so you could place them almost anywhere in the top 25 and find reason to support your decision.

Depending upon your perspective, losing to UNCA could have been reason enough to move us down to around 12-15.

Depending upon your perspective, being taken into overtime by #20, on a neutral court could be reason enough to leave us alone, or move us down even more.

And I am anticipating that they will be a top 5 team by March/April.

true i really could careless where they are ranked at this point. I think once guys like Drummond and Boatright get more experience, this team is going to be a monster. Right now they are figuring out kinks and whatnot, Boatright played well his first game and Uconn could have easily won against UCF with him in there. I just find it interesting Lunardi took such a reactionary approach in his ranking because we lost to UCF after being up 17 and defeating a great FSU team.

I read Seth Davis's rankings and he had us at 14. I only bring it up because I think its interesting how the writers reacted.

with that being said, we should be somewhere between 5-15. Once we tighten up and Andre develops, we will be somewhere between 3-7, and by the Final Four we will be #1 when it counts.

6 of one... etc etc. i'm with the people who said we could be anywhere between 7 and 20. not because of where we started and how much we should drop based on 1 loss, but because i really do think we are about 12-13 right now based on development and talent.

as the season progresses, we'll surely have more losses, but by the time the BET starts, i think we'll be a legit top 6-7 team in the nation. by the end of the year, i think we have a great shot at the final 4 and a legit shot at the NC...

I know rankings make for interesting conversation, but it really doesn't matter at this point. UConn hasn't exactly been stellar this season, so I have no problem with wherever the pollsters decide to place them. Losing to Central Florida, so based on that, UConn deserves to take a hit. That said, I'm not concerned, because it's just a matter of time that this team puts it together. High basketball IQ + High level talent + HOF coach=success.

That's fine and for now I think he's right. While I think FSU is a solid team and more than likely a Top 25 our kids still have a lot to prove.

Ranking us is difficult because of BB and AB. That's before and after Boatright. We didn't look dominant enough in the before games for a # 4 ranking IMO but let's not forget that the rankings are a crock in general. So now it's the new testament AB era and I think we are gonna be OK.
