This season's Huskies should keep Hurley's blood pressure within reasonable limits -- UConn is very talented and has another challenger for the Final Four. Alex Karaban, Solo Ball and Tarris Reed Jr. return better, and Silas Demary Jr. (Georgia) and 7-0 freshman big man Eric Reibe will be heavily relied upon. UConn is legit.

Oh, this has been brewing for a while. All season, in fact.

It came to a head with that Jay Bilas podcast a while Bach. He projected that a round of 32 exit should be viewed as a successful season.

Well he is a genius and all of you dunces came away agreeing with him.

And then Deepster, who is still around posting whatever brain droppings he focuses on in the moment, had some farcical "hanging" that hanged no one in particular , and ordered whoever wanted to to post whatever the heck they felt like to avenge nothing in...

Not sure what's confusing. For a field where virtually every famous person is a lightning rod, one guy who's not particularly divisive is Jay Bilas. It's not like you said, "love him or hate him, but Nick Wright said X." Bilas has been consistently supportive of this program for decades and your evidence that people here don't like him is that a could people said he was moralizing when he answered a question about Hurley's (admittedly juvenile) on-court behavior. I hope that explains it!

The likelihood that SJU goes further than UConn in any tournament, ever, is effectively ZERO. I'd be curious how many times that has happened in the last 30 years. I'd put even odds on it being none. Last time it likely happened was when Mullins led them to the Final Four in 1985.

UPDATE: Turns out they didn't completely suck in the early 90s, when UConn was going to the NIT. But since 1998, UConn has WON the tournament (6) about the same number of times SJU has MADE the tournament (7).

Another way to look at it - in the last 50 years, again, UConn has WON the tournament about the same number of times SJU has had a better performance in the tournament than UConn

I don't know how UConn fans hate Bilas. He has always been very positive about the UConn Basketball program and he was the originator of the name "Basketball Capital of the World".

Anecdotally, FWIW, he was very easy to speak to when I approached him at the ESPN announcer table in Maui-this was of course when they were off the air, LOL.
