Luke Murray and BC?

How long before BCU starts advertising that BCU coached players have made 100 millions dollars or whatever it was à la Rutgers?

Really happy or Luke. Well deserved. I hope he is very successful. I wish him lots of luck. As for a replacement, I am sure Hurley has a list to cultivate from. His brother would certainly be near the top, but not sure that will happen.

In first before anyone suggests Karaban should just take over Luke’s spot at the end of the season. (I fast forwarded through this, did anyone suggest that yet?)

Comparing KO's 2 years as an assistant to Kimani's 15 years is just dumb.

It doesn't matter if its 40 years as an assistant, no head coaching experience should be a disqualifier for the UConn job going forward. If Luke does well at BC he will become a top candidate if/when Hurley decides to leave.

Tommy Lloyd worked out at Arizona.

Yeah I mean it has worked. The counter to that is Autry and Davis (edit to add Neptune as well who kind of fits despite his one year at Fordham). Without having data it feels like it doesn’t work more than it does. But I could be wrong.

Compared to Todd Golden and Hurley who proved themselves at a lower level first.

My ultimate preference would be Luke excels at BC then comes back when Hurley retires. Or Kimani gets a head coaching job and excels then comes back when Dan retires.

His replacement search will be some good off-season entertainment. I think the Athletic Department knows this is a lot to replace and they're going treat it accordingly, which means a fat budget. For the past few years we've been recognized for our outstanding coaching depth and you don't cheap out and give that rep up.

Nobody starts off at a high major without serious nepotism. Luke was gonna have to prove he can win at a small program on his own eventually. Starting off at an ACC program local to us is about the best case scenario he coulda realistically waited for.

Wouldn’t shock me if he succeeds and eventually makes his way back here as head coach. I doubt Dan will be doing this into his 60s.

I would hope he's finishing out the season here. Really wish this could have been behind closed doors until the season is over. Kind of a major distraction for the team. Best of luck to him, but will never root for BC.

Thank you I was trying for a response

If he's signed a contract with BC, he should not be on UConn's bench. I've loved him, but actions have consequences. He's no longer a Husky.
I misinterpreted the terms of his signing. His employment with BC commences with the end of UConn’s season, not the date the contract is signed.

So mea culpa, he remains a Husky.

I’ll have no problem pulling for Luke and BC. It just doesn’t matter for us. They can have a good program and we’ll be just fine. The old stuff needs to be water under the bridge. I just don’t care anymore.
Yeah. I am with hoophound. It's been 25 years. I can't do it anymore.
