Is Luke going to be on our staff through the NCAA tournament or does he go straight up to BC?View attachment 118691
Best of luck, young gun. I’ll find a way to root for you but not your next team.

Beyond dumb, not a chance you've actually even watched Spencer play in the NBA.Know it may sound crazy, but we need to be going all in on Cam Spencer here. One, he’s a high IQ guy with elite competitiveness and could replace Murray’s offensive mind. Two, he and Hurley are cut from the same cloth - could be a natural successor in 10 years. Three, he won’t last much longer in the NBA, might as well get a good gig now while his stock is high.
That's not happening according to Bobby. I think I've posted this a couple times before.Really happy or Luke. Well deserved. I hope he is very successful. I wish him lots of luck. As for a replacement, I am sure Hurley has a list to cultivate from. His brother would certainly be near the top, but not sure that will happen.
Not an actual coach. A glorified internship. Gets more from UConn than UConn gets from him.Legit question - what does that mean? What is Diarra's role?
What better way to sell yourself to recruits and portals than having 3 national championships under your belt? Of course he is going to be on the bench for UConn for the rest of the tournament and I would imagine that BC wants it no other way.Is Luke going to be on our staff through the NCAA tournament or does he go straight up to BC?
I would look for them to play each other soon.I have to think taking that job was in part a commitment to NIL - no one is dumb enough to go to a P4 school that has no NIL - that would be a death wish. I have confidence that he was given confidence on that end. I'm sure him joining will jumpstart some interest, along with Bill Murray being in the stands. I wonder if Bill swings by for any Uconn games after Luke is gone.
yes, it was confirmed that he isHe’s still gonna coach through the tourney right?

Weird question though: Does having Bill Murray in the stands help increase attendance at BBalll games? They don't really care about BBall, but they might like to be around Bill 😊.
Based on AK’s self created sports mgmt/statistics/computer science major (I believe he’s actually getting a master’s now), I would bet that he’s more focused long-term on a front office gig and not a coaching role.AK should takeover for Luke
If playing hoops isn't his future, then he should go to coach at an engineering school. RPI. Then Georgis Tech.AK should takeover for Luke

I think that was the plan when they hired Nardi… that he would slide into a more involved role in the event Luke or Kimani would exit.Could Nardi slide into the role?
For those of you not in Boston I think you have to understand that there’s just no support for bad teams. They expect excellence and the pro teams are more successful than in any other city. BC making a tournament appearance will attract fans. Quickly. They won’t ever have what UConn has or KU, Kentucky or UNC but they can blow past what St John’s has in NYC pretty quickly. Winning would solve things rapidly. What better way to sell yourself to recruits and portals than having 3 national championships under your belt? Really, you think so? I was living up here when BC had some pretty good success in the early 2000s under Al Skinner and I don't remember them having a huge following. BC is a private Catholic school. The general public doesn't get behind them. For those of you not in Boston I think you have to understand that there’s just no support for bad teams. I'm with you 100% on the BCU hatred. Maybe at his next stop.Nooooooooooooooooooo! This is terrible. The only school I hate more than Duke is BC for blackballing us. and he’s taking Bill with him to boot. How could he not get a better job why couldnt PC or Butler hire him!!
I was in college in the late 80s/early 90s. I would road trip to see my friends at BU and we’d attend BU-BC hockey games. Both rosters stacked with future pros. Conte Forum was brand new then. What an environment to watch college hockey. Packed to the rafters.Really, you think so? Even when the football team was good with Matt Ryan I don't remember people caring that much. The Flutie year seemed different. But I was in college then so I can't tell you what it was like up here.
I have seen that quote, but one never can change his mind. Not that I necessarily want Bobby on the staff, but I have learned through the years to never say never. That's not happening according to Bobby. I think I've posted this a couple times before.
If the right head coaching spot doesn't open up for Bobby, would he consider possibility of taking a gap year in Storrs and reuniting with Dan? We can put this possibility to bed.
"I wouldn't," Bobby told CBS Sports. "I don't think I would take an assistant position at this time. I may look in media if there wasn't something that made sense for me this year in the cycle, but I don't want to waste time. I got, like, 10 years I think in doing this and I think I have more to give to the game and I don't want to stop."

Bobby Hurley out at Arizona State but likely not done: Possible jobs he could get and who ASU's targeting next
Arizona State is moving on from Bobby Hurley after 11 seasons. Here's a look at Hurley's record in Tempe and the possible landing spots for the veteran coach.www.cbssports.com
Ridiculous. All he has to do is improve the program and he'll be fine.I personally think it’s career suicide but hope he somehow makes something out of it
Saw one in Bridgeport too lol

Meh. The people at BC that kept us out are gone or about to be. That grudge is played out. I’m glad we didn’t get into the ACC back then. It hasn’t been good for any of the departed. I’m ready to step up for football’s sake and for the sake of the overall AD, but we haven’t missed much of anything so far.BC continues to be a thorn in our side. Prevented us from being in the Power ACC conference & now poaching our best Assistant.
That’s some expensive trolling.
Must be trolling because it certainly isnt going to gain them any fans.Saw one in Bridgeport too lol
