I already take UConn basketball home with me so I have that covered.
Why? Wasn't SCSU 11-15 this season?Scott Burrell please
So you’ve applied? So far, the list of Boneyard suggestions is a joke.
We run the most sophisticated offense in the country, where even NBA coaches/players comment on our sets. A huge part of that was Luke Murray. And we're replacing that with Taliek Brown or Scott Burrell? This is no longer the cute little frat of ex-Huskies that hustled in practice. It's the premier destination in the entire NCAA for recruiting, X and O's, gameplanning and getting guys ready to enter the Pro game.
Love the approach Dan has taken. There is no reason to rush but better to nail the hire. Think Nardi was more outside box and stays away from having to default to any sort of coaching tree to pull from. Fit on a staff like Dans is even more important and having a guy who brings something different while fitting in seems like it would be the approach if I'm reading his tea leaves correctly
Exactly, and the job description is written so the candidate fits it to a tee. It's why it wasn't posted sooner...Dan Hurley needed time after the FF to reach out people. If it was just a generic description it could have been posted once Luke took the jobHe already knows who he's hiring. This is just talk. The position doesn't get liated until there's a silent agreement with a candidate.
I honestly take him at face value and that a decision hasn’t been made yet. He wouldn’t have said it was filled yesterday but he certainly would have said he’s closing in on decision. Because of what happened with freeman he’s going to take his timeExactly, and the job description is written so the candidate fits it to a tee. I guess that's why Hurley's kid is on the staff? So far, the list of Boneyard suggestions is a joke.

CorrectTo be clear-"Closes" meaning no more resumes accepted?

TB and SB were mere practice fodder? I must have been sleeping while TB was hoisting a NC trophy as captain and starting PG?
SB was a end of the road athlete who never earned PT in college or pro basketball or major league baseball?
Neither has a BB IQ - next.............................

He’s crushing it as GM with the portal. I’d leave him if we can.Move Tom Moore back to the bench and find someone else to run the GM role.
Kevin Ollie.No shot.
My DM‘s are open…talks start at 150k.@Hey Adrien! - you are on the clock.
yo, when you get the job....double big lineups. My DM‘s are open…
How about letting the guy who took us to 3 finals in 4 yrs pick whoever he wants and not give two ts what somebody on the boneyard thinks? His kid fetches coffee and tells his dad when to challenge a call. He isn’t responsible for creating offensive sets and scouting opposite teams. But you do make a good point: Hires should be based on merit, not last name—and that rule should be increasingly more strongly enforced the higher up the totem pole you go. It’s not that I doubt Taliek or Scott know how to coach, it’s that I have zero basis for believing they’re in the tippy-top tier of assistants. The days of hiring guys based on what they did for us on the court is thankfully OVER.
Kim English is apparently available 👀You would think coming to UConn would be an ex HC rehab destination a year or 2 to ressurect yourself for another go around at another HC job.
Pretty sure there is recent footage of him saying “no thanks” to the idea.I realize we're likely to go in a different direction, but Bobby Hurley would be a slam dunk (if he even wants the job). It's an obvious cultural fit and he'd do wonders working with our guards. In the NIL era, I'm not sure Dan needs more recruiting connections, he needs a brain trust that can teach his offensive system and develop talent. I haven't heard a name yet that has more coaching experience than Bobby - plus, the sideline would absolutely be must see tv!

Coach K would never allow that to happen. Its bad enough that they had a "heartbreaking" loss to us with the Mullins shot. Then Nik commits to us. Bob Hurley Sr would be off of Coach K's Christmas card list if that happened. Dukie V would be hysterical.I realize we're likely to go in a different direction, but Bobby Hurley would be a slam dunk (if he even wants the job).
