Luke Murray’s Replacement

Maybe Hey Adrien wouldn't mind taking the assistant job for 1/2 of Luke's salary .
I love how this is considered a "maybe" situation.

So, maybe I'd take a break from teaching to take a job as an assistant for UConn, earning half of Murray's 750k salary, which is a "modest" raise from my teaching salary and my 3k basketball stipend last trimester.

We'll see. Maybe.

I'm already imagining the "what ifs": we thankfully purchased our house in Norwalk in 2016, prior before the Covid burst in 2021 so it's gotten to the point where I feel like a Regular Joe surrounded by rich NYC transplants.

We'd keep the house, but rent it out for an absurd monthly rate and then with the 375k salary, we'd live somewhere nice near campus, but modest, I'd bankroll an art studio for my wife and save most of our money for a very comfortable retirement.

Sign me up!

This is a good sign as usually these things get posted once they have the candidate they want. Look at Nardi last year.
Yup. Looks like our guy will be announced on 4/20

Ya I think it's like if it were to rain on your wedding day...don't ya think?

Isn’t it ironic that the most famous line in that song isn’t irony at all, but in fact just kinda bad luck?

Dontcha think life has a funny way?

Aww don't burst my balloon. I was in the middle of working on my resume for this job.

Bingo. Literally a last-minute crossing of the t’s/dotting the i’s, as the posting is required for state employee positions.
and they can craft the job description so it fits the candidate they want to a tee. I remember when someone i hired was amazed at how his background fit the job...I told him it should since I wrote it based on your background
