What a painfully ugly 3rd quarter.

This UConn team hasn't yet learned how to play with a 20-point lead. They will.

The ugliness largely returned in that quarter. Not much flow there at all.

On the bright side, I think we've made our last 15 free throws, so there's that!

New career high 23 points for Samuelson!

If you think the UConn fouls are inartistic, the LSU fouls are worse. Let's not discuss turnovers.

What will the 4th quarter bring? Q1 UCONN looked slow and tired and a step behind, like at FSU. 2nd quarter they looked like they did against Baylor. 3rd quarter, it was back to FSU.

Regarding the "ugliness" - let's not forget the opponent is a member of the SEC, a conference that in recent years relishes wallowing in the ugly; or as I'm sure they see it, a conference with a strong tradition of disruptive defense, turning every possession into a skirmish. Only S. Carolina, which under Staley tools itself for the NCAA post-season, stays above the fray.
