She also states that Poa hasn't been with the team, and that she hasn't discussed it with her. So how exactly was Kim suppose to know?

You can't seriously believe that no one at LSU wasn't involved or aware of Poa's intent to file a lawsuit; somebody gave her the idea; somebody assisted her in finding legal representation.

If it was any other player at any other school, I would still believe the head basketball coach would have been made aware by somebody of what was happening off the court, especially if said player requested time away from the team, is missing practices, etc.

The key part is if she knew but she states she doesn't. We have to take her at her word. Even at the end of that video, she's asking the reporter questions about the situation which gives an impression she wasn't aware.

Personally, I think Mulkey is in a no win position if she said anything, including no comment. She's taken that approach on other matters and it's not enough for some.

I'm also empathetic to Last-Tears feeling left out. Canadian athletes have the same challenge as they can't travel between countries to be in compliance either. It's something that is much more complicated due to immigration laws and there's no indication there is a plan to resolve it.

Depends on what you believe this comment "handling stuff off the floor" from one week ago means. I take that tidbit along with the new news of the lawsuit, and that fits together. None of her rumored personal relationship issues stated here in this thread are factual (to me); and, how long does it take to get back to the team and get to work? Doesn't sound like Mulkey suspended or dismissed her; Mulkey doesn't strike me as the type of head coach who gives a player infinite amount of time to straighten out their non-basketball issues, especially at such an important time of the season; you're either in (practice with the team), or you're out (off the team).

This type of response is exactly what I mean when it comes to Mulkey. There are going to be those who take her at her word and others who will be suspicious/skeptical. It's going to come down to one's opinion and their impression of her.

As I stated in my other post, regardless of which player or which head coach, I find it difficult to believe no one would inform the head coach about the lawsuit -- player themselves, other team members, coaching staff, administrative staff, NIL folks associated with the program, legal team, etc.

Which is your opinion. Others may not care and will believe Mulkey.

What you're saying is totally logical and I have thought the same. The thing is we're not there and can't verifiably state whether LSU coaching staff knew.

For all we know Poa could have been working on this back in Australia and opted not to let them know. Anything is possible when we're not privy to the situation.

I give Mulkey a hard time and I'm not sure I believe she knows nothing about NIL or the lawsuit.

With that being said, what exactly do people expect out of coaches?

What exactly should she say anything about these things?

Something that most general people say to the media is "since this is a pending lawsuit, I am not at liberty to comment on it"

Looks like Grace Knox just committed to LSU as well.
Nice follow up class after last year, they do need to go to the portal to add a big with size at the 5 spot, but minus Morrow/Day-Wilson they return basically most of their production next year

From what I have gathered they expect Divine to play the 1 and 2 in college as she is a pass first guard with lots of versatility and has grown to 6'0 in the last year, Hines is a SG at 5'9, Zakiyah is 6'1 would be a wing/SF, and Knox would be a PF at 6'2.
