Yes.Didn't she have issues with the same foot during the U23?
Who the heck would be disappointed that a great young lady was not hurt badly enough to exclude her from playing? They should relinquish their Boneyard credentials if they are hoping she's hurt.Just replayed it, number 3 stepped on her heal and that's what caught her foot. Hopefully just a sprain, I know a couple of posters will be disappointed if she can keep playing.
??? ....???Sorry, but I don't understand. Why would anyone -- at least anyone here -- be disappointed if she continues to play?
Sprain is the term often used to describe an injury before imaging is done. Let's hope that's all it is.
Okay, I guess I get it. The poster is saying that some here would be disappointed if she continued playing because she should be resting the injury and making sure she's 100% before she returns. That post is not the clearest explanation I've ever seen. Sure fooled me. Anyway,m I'm dead certain we're all hoping she's okay.??? ....???
It's super early in the season. The team has enough weapons to continue to win. Why play now on an injured foot so earlier in the season and jeopardize when it matters the most-being ready during the tourney.
How many times have you seen rushing back from an injury backfire and make an injury worse?
There are too many examples. The most recent example is Coates. She got caught up and rushed coming back and couldn't play in the biggest moment of her collegiate career.
She received a "shout out" from her coach while her team hoisted the trophy and cut down the nets. I am sure she would've given anything to play in the championship game.

"olddude" said:I’m hoping for the best, but a “mid foot” sprain can be very serious, potentially requiring months to heel properly.
I hope that @hugefan meant what you typed. I think he meant what he typed.Swap those heals/heels and replace hugefan's "can" with "cannot" and we're all right with the Husky world.
A midfoot sprain, also referred to as a Lisfranc injury can be mild to serious requiring anywhere from a few days to heel to several months, sometimes requiring surgery. Fingers crossed that Lou’s injury is on the mild end.
Right, I don't know from Lisfranc injuries, but I was surprised how casually she was walking around during the warm-ups before the second half. And then during team time outs, while she wouldn't race out on the court with the rest of the team, she was standing and clapping with no obvious discomfort. The only good thing in terms of the injury is that they were allowing Lou to put weight on her foot for the whole of the second half. Typically someone with a Lisfranc injury would be prevented from putting any weight on that foot.
