This is easy. Michigan.

  1. They have a bunch of players who were not top shelf recruits (McGary excepted) and improved greatly over time. That's what I like about UConn historically.
  2. Their players aren't hard to root for.
  3. Most importantly, they have a fairly innocuous coach.
  4. And who cares about Big 10 perception. Quite frankly, the B10 is better than the Big East, because the latter no longer exists.
  5. The corollary to the last is that Louisville is no longer a conference-mate. Why root for them?

So if we were invited to the ACC would we still want Michigan to win? I hope this isn't about sour grapes, jealousy and envy. Its not like those Louisville players were involved in the decision.

Now cuse on the other hand................................................. Fukk em.

Michigan players weren't involved in the decision either, so really... not sure why that would make a difference.

But, to answer your question, if UConn ever makes it to the ACC, I will root against every ACC team. If UConn ever makes it to the B1G, I will root FOR every B1G team except for Michigan.

If it's about "one last hurrah for the Big East," heck with that garbage. I don't know what rooting for Louisville accomplishes in terms of building up the stature of a once-proud conference that has now been systematically destroyed, and one in which we have been ousted from and left adrift with the other leftovers.

To me they're no longer a conference mate, which is the only reason I ever rooted for them at times in previous years. And the fact that the ACC picked them over us for the latest open slot back in November is just another kick to the nads.

Go Michigan.

It absolutely is about sour grapes. You think anyone is going to give the Big East credit if UL wins? You're a crackpot. The ACC will talk about how great they'll be in two years. So, yeah, sour grapes.

So what?

Go Michigan.

This. ACC can choke and die for all I care. Go blue and hammer the school that prints diplomas on toilet papers.

At the most basic level, I can't think of one good reason to want another program to have as many National Championships in Men's Basketball as we do.

Go Michigan!

Michigan even though we end up with a big share of 'villes NCAA credits for this year.

I'm just glad Boeheim is out.

No I hear ya, but I'm more of "what have you done lately kinda guy". I mean c'mon their two titles weren't even in the era of the 3 point line for the NCAA's.....University of SanFransico won a couple titles too. Maybe I should honor those ridiculous Helms titles Cuse won lol. I'm just saying do it in today's game of bball like UK, DuKe, NC, UConn, Fla, and the respect will flow. Plus Ville fell off for years and have only returned to prominence with Patino at the helm.
I guess I just took offense that you said they've been doing it at a high level longer than us, which is true if you look at your way....but for me garners little respect, if you can't win one in the age of modern basketball

Yes Louisville has done nothing in the modern game. It's all history unworthy of any respect.

Oh when they didn't have good coaches they didn't have good teams. I mean big programs like UCLA and North Carolina are immune to that right?

Once teams make it to the Final Four, there are no additional credits to be earned - all of the Final Four teams earned about $10M (paid out over six years). There's no additional credit for advancing to the title game.

I'm rooting for Louisville. Come get and me. My address is 103 S. Main St., Middletown CT, 2nd floor, Suite 207, in the Middlesex Hospital Behavioral Health Condominiums.

Looking to get out of here anyways.[/quote

There are no add'tl credits for winning the final. No credits for a F4 win either.

Louisville. Let the BE go down in glory and Michigan fans return to their Fab 5 vacated victories nostalgia nights.

More Michigan Highlights:

In August 2011, James King was detained by police for failure to pay $17,000 in back child support for his 17-year-old son. He was incarcerated at Michigan's Oakland County Jail along with Jalen Rose, who was serving time for a DUI arrest

I want Peyton Siva to win a championship. As a Uconn and college basketball fan ,I (we) pretty much watched the kid grow up and he's been a good competitor . The kid suffered threw Kembas abuse a couple of years ago and this might be his last basketball on a grand stage. The core/ glue of college basketball should be kids like Siva. Why not.

Michigan. I have tremendous respect for Belein and can't stand Pitino. That makes it easy for me.

I have to root for the conference. Hence, Michigan. Go B1G.
Let's hope the women win the only national championship in BE hoops this year.
