I have to drop my niece off in Westerley, RI next weekend and I'm looking for a little "reward" on the drive back home on 95. I'm looking for:
1. A really good CT-style Lobster roll.
2. At a non-sit down place
3. That won't be prohibitively crowded on a late Saturday afternoon
4. That is a relatively easy on-and-off of I95.

Thank you in advance.

Lobster Hut in Milford. Basically a food truck with picnic tables. Really good.

Lobster Shack in East Haven. They have sit down service. Decent view of the Sound.

Lobster Landing in Clinton.

I’m not a fan of Shanks (next door to Lobster Landing). Last time I was there, the lobster was overcooked and dry. We got there right when they opened. Probably leftovers from the previous day.

Abbott’s in Noank has great lobster but I think their “roll” is actually a hamburger bun.

This should help.

Have you checked out Mystic Pizza yet? Great reviews on Yelp.
I'm sure you laughed out loud when you were typing that. I yawned.

You’re too dumb to realize when you post things like this, it only validates my trolling you has worked.
Yeah, nah. I wasn't trolled one bit. Your post was deficient in humor.

I laughed at #3.

Good luck with that.

In Westerly actually Pawcatuck Ct right around the corner from the Railroad overpass off Rte. 1 is Seawell Seafood Market at 3 Liberty St. right over the state line.

And what the hell is a non-sit down place? Does he want to eat the lobster roll while standing next to his car?

Lobster Landing, enjoy!

Captain Scott’s in New London, but the only way it’s not crowded on a Saturday afternoon in June is if it’s pouring rain.

the Seven Seas in Milford makes a pretty mean lobster roll and while it is a sit down restaurant you can order them to go......really nice town green to eat them just a minutes' walk away to relax and eat them too......

in my local parlance, a "sit-down place" is where you get served by someone at a table. i.e. a restaurant. So I'm looking for a food truck or counter-serve type establishment.

Assuming you will be heading I95 south there is Flanders Fish Market in East Lyme. The dining area may be crowded but you can order take out at the market side. Could hit all 4 of your wants. That place in Pawcatuck is on the way to a I95 connection.
