Good size, but not too big. Hope to keep it in a well insulated garage.

They are all the same. Measure your space and see what size fits and then order from HD or Lowes. Not sure what we did before we got the chest freezer.

I bought an upright from Sears I think for like $300. I had a chest freezer before but the stuff on the bottom never got used (laziness I know). Much prefer the upright. Sits in my garage.
Upright, and non self-defrosting if possible. Preserves food longer with less freezer burn. Downside is you need to defrost it twice per year.

yeah, when I first saw the thread, I wondered how a state where you can't find chicken would still have freezers available. Even in PGH chest freezers are hard to come by.An article recently said there was a heavy run on freezers before isolations. Hope you can find what you need.
