I think 100 is an aggressive estimate LolThat‘s correct. To fully understand just how irrelevant BC is to regional college athletics you have to attend a hoops game at Conte. You and the other 100 folks there can use the time for meditation.

Well, it probably includes both teams, staff, maintenance personnel, etc.I think 100 is an aggressive estimate Lol
A staggering 7 teams are not bowl eligible, yet UConn football was so bad they couldn't be brought in as 17. Now they are curb stomping UNC. Particularly funny that Utah and Okie State suck after voting no on UConn. And now the SEC dominates basketball. Too funny.
What is the Big 12 afraid of? Do they think UConn Football will break the conference?
I think taking the four corner schools was to simply guarantee the end of the Pac 12. The schools were not awful and each had something to offer in one sport or another. However, taking those schools finalized the collapse of a P5 rival conference. They are afraid of losing money. That's the only thing I can think of. I honestly have no idea what the monetary value of UConn would be to the Big 12, but their people must think it will cost them money to add UConn and they aren't convinced that future basketball revenues would make it worth it. This is the only possible explanation I can think of.
The 4 corner schools of the old PAC-12 either added value or didn't subtract value. The 4 G5 additions the year prior may very well have cost the Big 12 money, but they were desperate at that time and wanted strong football brands.
Another possible explanation may be the Big 12 is hoping the ACC explodes and they can get some decent brands not wanted elsewhere like they did with the PAC schools. This may never happen, so I have no idea if this is even in their discussions. My bet is its the money.
I think a big part of it is FB perception. They know they lost a big part of their pedigree when they lost Texas and OK. To then add UCONN is a big blow to their FB ego.As for why we are still left out in the cold in their eyes, I have no clue.
Afraid that that UConn has success despite not have the funds they do. They show how incompetent these schools are because majority can’t touch UConn success on the field or court. What is the Big 12 afraid of? Do they think UConn Football will break the conference?
It is the same story with the ACC. BC was always afraid that UConn would take over New England and they would be second fiddle.Afraid that that UConn has success despite not have the funds they do. To me they are afraid that with the funding UConn will climb to height in football that they could never do. It would prove either their incompetence or greediness.
Well, as things stand now, not only are they not second fiddle, they aren't even in the orchestra. It is the same story with the ACC. BC was always afraid that UConn would take over New England and they would be second fiddle.
The 4 Corner Schools was an unexpected gift and absolutely added value to the Big 12. Each school is a huge public U, AAU, well over $1 billion endowments. The Big Ten took the top 4 which sunk the PAC 12, the Big 12 took the next best 4. Maybe Stanford should be in there but the Corner 4 alone was a huge prize. I know others don't think as much of the Corner 4 but it was a much bigger haul than the previous BYU/Cincy/Houston/UCF.I think taking the four corner schools was to simply guarantee the end of the Pac 12.
